1..Being a Muslim does not mean that you are an angel, we all make mistakes and ask Allah to forgive us..
2..Since you are new to Islam, do not try to apply the whole Sharia at once, but gradually, and the most important thing now is prayer. Keep it..
3..You will hear lots of advice and guidance from some (out of love), so do not concern yourself with pleasing them, but try to please Allah, because no one here knows how difficult it is for you except you, so do what is commensurate with your situation within the limits of the circle of Islam..
4..I ask Allah to strengthen Your determination and help you in what you started with..
    Allah bless you

Assalamu waalaikum. I myself am a revert to Islam. Born and raised in the USA and Ilhamduleah I’ve been Muslim for 40 years. I also had issues with my family- my mother and father. My mother did have an issue with me wearing hijab but my father was very relaxed with it. Although I didn’t wear it in the beginning, it took me several years to finally say to myself “just do it” and stop worrying about what others think. Here’s something funny: In the past my hijab was white and my jilbab was black so sometimes in the grocery store people would think that I’m a Nun. But Ilhamduleah I’ve never stopped wearing my hijab. Please if you have any questions, please let me know.
We’ve been following your journey and Ilhamduleah we’re so proud of you when you took your shahada.
    Salams, Sister Susan.

Dear sister I hope you are well and in a great peace of mind. The most important is to learn on your own by reading about Islam and the way to please Your creator and only him. Being honest with yourself and have trust in God who guided you is the most important. All the rest is just secondary. I wish you a happy Ramadan and a very peaceful life full of success and good deeds.

I watched this video with interest, liss. You are a mountaineer. Gathering strength from the peaceful recitations and meanings of the Qur'an, you move forward by adding tears to it. You will experience many fruits and blessings of this journey. You will encourage many people to meet with guidance or to weigh the truth in their consciences. I say that if we Muslims understand the Qur'an well and set an example, many obstacles will be overcome and Islam will bring peace and brotherhood to the world.

The Qur’an rejects most of the core teachings of the Bible. Yet, at the same time it confirms at the time of Muhammad that the Christian Scriptures were given and protected by God:
“... We believe in that which hath been revealed unto us and revealed unto you; our Allah and your Allah is One, and unto Him we surrender.” (Surah 29:46)
“... There is none who can change His (God’s) words. (Surah 18:27)
The promise of preservation of God’s word also applies to the Torah and the Injeel. They were present and not changed in the 6th century AD. We know that because Jews and Christians were asked to observe them, and Muhammad was asked to consult them, if he or his followers were in doubt. That would certainly not be possible if only part of the Scriptures remained unchanged:
“Say O People of the Scripture! Ye have naught (of guidance) till ye observe the Torah and the Gospel and that which was revealed unto you from your Lord ...” (Surah 5:68)
“Let the People of the Gospel judge by that which Allah hath revealed therein. Whoso judgeth not by that which Allah hath revealed: such are evil-livers.” (Surah 5:47; see also Surah 7:157)
“And if thou (Muhammad) art in doubt concerning that which We reveal unto thee, then question those who read the Scripture (that was) before thee.” (Surah 10:94)
The last verse commands Muhammad and his followers to ask the Christians in case they have doubt about the message of the Qur’an. In other words, the Bible judges the Qur’an not the other way around.
Jesus said in John 3:14 Just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up, 3:15 so that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life.”
3:16 For this is the way God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. 3:17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world should be saved through him. 3:18 The one who believes in him is not condemned. The one who does not believe has been condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the one and only Son of God.

Sister, I really liked the approach You have chosen to represent Islam into Your parents.
I 100% agree with U sister, if they ask You about Islam, explain to them, but do not try to push them to.
Your good behavior and loyalty to them is enough.I would just add to that, make a lot of du'aa for them; ask Allah SWT to guide them, especially in this coming Ramadan.
In terms of Hijab, I can imagine the given circumstances, so take Your time and Allah SWT will make it easy for You insha Allah.

Assalamu alaikoum Liss. Thank you sooo much for this video. It's so encouraging for other non-Muslims to investigate islam. You shine a beautiful light on islam, ilhumdulilah. I pray that Allah swt blesses you with all your goals n more. I especially pray he sends you beautiful pious muslimah friends. I ask Allah to increase you in his love, guidance, blessings, n islamic knowledge. I pray you become a shining beacon for not only your family but all non Muslims. I definitely feel your beautiful humility, sincerity , n love of islam. I see n feel, "nur,"in your face n being emitted from you. Ilhumdulilah Allah swt guided you n us to islam. As a revert of 24 years I have experienced most if not all the feelings you have felt. I totally understand the fears, the anxiety n guilt one feels when changing their religion. It's difficult for our families bc of all the negative media attention. Each of us can influence people more by our excellent behavior, inshallah;than our speech. Btw you're doing the right thing regarding your family. They need time to adjust. It took many of us years to get where we are. We must give them time. It's a drastic change for them. May I suggest something that might help your family, down the road? When you do have a chance to visit a mosque, inshallah; ask for pamphlets about islam+a quran in Dutch. I've seen it work with others, even teenagers. A mom left small information pamphlets about islam on the coffee table. Her son was 15. She never asked him to read them never said anything about islam. He never asked her anything. He read the books but never mentioned it to her. One day he just told her he wanted to become a muslim. Subhan Allah! Our excellent behavior is more influential than a million words. When they ask questions, inshallah wr can answer them. If not, there is always the internet, emams in the mesjids. The quran is the best source of our religion, ilhumdulilah. I always tell anyone who asks, "the best source about islam is the quran, the 2nd, is the sunnah." May we die as muslims on both, inshallah. When we want to know about Allah swt, we read the quran. When we want to know about the rasool saas, we read the sunnah. Ilhumdulilah. I'm so proud of you Liss. You're so brave n sincere. Allah swt will bless you with everything you want, need n more inshallah. Just ask him for everything you want, big n small. He is our provider. I ask Allah that he bless you with hajj, omra, to live in a muslim country, to hear the athan always, n be blessed to be in firdaus il alaa;so we meet there, inshallah.

Islam has five basic rules. There is no rule to change the name. Don't change your name so your other friends won't be prejudiced against you. God bless you my sister, how well you explained, you set a good example for us.

    The First Word
Bismillah , "In the Name of God," is the start of all things good. We too shall start with it. Know, O my soul! Just as this blessed phrase is a mark of Islam, so too it is constantly recited by all beings through their tongues of disposition. If you want to know what an inexhaustible strength, what an unending source of bounty is Bismillah , listen to the following story which is in the form of a comparison. It goes like this: Someone who makes a journey through the deserts of Arabia has to travel in the name of a tribal chief and enter under his protection, for in this way he may be saved from the assaults of bandits and secure his needs. On his own he will perish in the face of innumerable enemies and needs. As it happened, two men went on such a journey and entered the desert. One of them was modest and humble, the other proud and conceited. The humble man assumed the name of a tribal chief, while the proud man did not. The first travelled safely wherever he went. If he encountered bandits, he said: "I am travelling in the name of such-and-such tribal leader," and they did not molest him. If he came to some tents, he was treated respectfully due to the name. But the proud man suffered indescribable calamities throughout his journey. He both trembled before everything and begged from everything. He was abased and became an object of scorn. My proud soul! You are the traveller and this world is a desert. Your impotence and poverty have no limit, and your enemies and needs are endless. Since it is thus, take the name of the Pre-Eternal Ruler and Post-Eternal Lord of the desert and be saved from begging before the whole universe and trembling before every event.
Yes, this phrase is a treasury so blessed that your infinite impotence and poverty bind you to an infinite power and mercy; it makes your impotence and poverty an acceptable intercessor at the court of One All-Powerful and Compassionate. The person who acts saying "In the Name of God" resembles someone who enrolls in the army. He acts in the name of the government; he has fear of no one; he speaks, performs every matter, and withstands everything in the name of the law and the name of the government. At the beginning we said that all beings say "In the Name of God" through the tongue of disposition. Is that so?
Indeed, it is so. If you were to see that a single person had come and had driven all the inhabitants of a town to a place by force and compelled them to work, you would be certain that he had not acted in his own name and through his own power, but was a soldier, acting in the name of the government and relying on the power of the king.
In the same way, all things act in the name of Almighty God, for minute things like seeds and grains bear huge trees on their heads; they raise loads like mountains. That means all trees say: "In the Name of God," fill their hands from the treasury of mercy, and offer them to us. All gardens say: "In the Name of God," and become cauldrons from the kitchens of divine power in which are cooked numerous varieties of different foods. All blessed animals like cows, camels, sheep, and goats, say: "In the Name of God," and produce springs of milk from the abundance of mercy, offering us a most delicate and pure food like the water of life in the name of the Provider. The roots and rootlets, soft as silk, of plants, trees, and grasses say: "In the Name of God," and pierce and pass through hard rock and earth. Mentioning the name of God, the name of the Most Merciful, everything becomes subjected to them. The roots spreading through hard rock and earth and producing fruits as easily as the branches spread through the air and produce fruits, and the delicate green leaves retaining their moisture for months in the face of extreme heat, deal a slap in the mouths of naturalist philosophers and jab a finger in their blind eyes, saying: "Even heat and hardness, in which you most trust, are under a command. For like the Staff of Moses, each of those silken rootlets conforms to the command, " And We said, O Moses, strike the rock with your staff "(2:60) and splits the rock. And the delicate leaves fine as cigarette paper recite the verse, " O fire be coolness and peace "(21:69) against the heat of the fire, each like the members of Abraham (UWP).
Since all things say: "In the Name of God," and bearing God's bounties in God's name, give them to us, we too should say: "In the Name of God." We should give in the name of God and take in the name of God. And we should not take from heedless people who neglect to give in God's name. Question: We give a price to people, who are like tray-bearers. So what price does God want, who is the true owner?
The Answer: Yes, the price the True Bestower of Bounties wants in return for those valuable bounties and goods is three things: one is remembrance , another is thanks , and the other is reflection . Saying, "In the Name of God" at the start is remembrance, and "All praise be to God" at the end is thanks. And perceiving and thinking of those bounties, which are priceless wonders of art, being miracles of power of the Unique and Eternally Besought One and gifts of His mercy, is reflection. However foolish it is to kiss the foot of a lowly man who conveys to you the precious gift of a king and not to recognize the gift's owner, it is a thousand times more foolish to praise and love the apparent source of bounties and forget the True Bestower of Bounties.
O my soul! If you do not wish to be foolish in that way, give in God's name, take in God's name, begin in God's name, and act in God's name. And that should suffice you!

    Hello Lissie;
While researching the reactions of non-Muslims to the Qur'an and Adhan, I came across the videos on your channel. As a Muslim, I am glad that you have covered Islam, the prayer and the Qur'an in many of your videos. When I watched it, I saw that you were influenced by the azan, the Quran and other Islamic prayers. When I looked at the comments on your videos, I noticed that Turkish followers did not comment. For this reason, I would like to reach you privately and talk to you about Islam and Islam. In your videos, you get emotional and sincerely listen to it during the quran and adhan. You mentioned that you love the language and voice of the Qur'an, that it relaxes you, relieves you from stress, etc. These thoughts affected me a lot. Also, it made me very happy that you were honored with Islam in Istanbul. Besides, I know that you have a plan to come to Turkey, an Islamic country. As a member of the Presidency of Religious Affairs and living in Turkey, I can really give you information about Islam and Islam. Please do not turn down my kind offer.
    Thank you. Kind regards
My name : Hasan Hüseyin İŞBAY
