I always feel bad for the old Yakuza boss. Sure, he's a "criminal" but he still has a sense of right and wrong. He's not interested in heroes and villains, he just wanted to run the organization's rackets how they always had, and take care of people that had been overlooked by society, and Chisaki betrayed him. The old man never wanted Chisaki to do those experiments on Eri. He just wanted him to figure out what he quirk was and help her learn how to control it, in the normal, kind, way that a grandfather would want.
Without question one of, if not my favorite, episode. The part where Deku catches Eri makes me cry every time, and Infinite 100% is still some of the most hype shit I’ve ever seen! SO 👏 FREAKING 👏 COOL!
The more I re-watch the more I think they're able to change future events because Eri's quirk is time related. She kinda throws a wrench in the works by being associated with whatever future Night eye predicts as guaranteed

SOOOOOO it's a mixture of eri and the domino effect of All might's legacy ! he might have literally indirectly saved himself bc of inspiring kids like izuku.
This is why I love this particular aspect of the story. Is it because of Eri's powers making "the future" harder to predict? Or is it because "heart" is something that you can't tangibly account for? A little of both? Or is it also because Night Eye didn't know about Eri's quirk? That's yet another aspect: does Night Eye's future seeing quirk work on _his understanding_ of a situation? The biggest thing to me is: Deku + Lemillion's passion -> Eri _wanting_ to be saved -> Eri triggering her quirk subconciously. That's the thing I gravitate to a lot. Eri's internal thought process CHANGED because of Lemillion. Lemillion proved those there would never stop to save her. He showed they would rather die than to let her be hurt again. So _she_ changed her way of thinking. Instead of going back to Chisaki like she did in the alley, to keep them from dying, she ran away from Chisaki. Then suddenly her powers activated. In Night Eye's future that he saw, the information he knew from Lemillion and Deku was that she went back to Chisaki to save them; he didn't account for her change in heart, basically or at the very least didn't know she even had a quirk to begin with. That's a really, REALLY big and important detail in my opinion. The age old: people can change if they want to, but they have to want to. And Night Eye's quirk doesn't take that into account because people don't change often. So the information he has signifies she doesn't have a quirk. When she suddenly activates it? Wrench into his plan. PLUS, she's a child. And children are less stuck in their ways than adults are.

Like I'm just imagining this guy on his hospital bed just wracking his brain for an answer, but then someone comes up and says, "Oh hey, the girl you rescued can rewind things" and then Nighteye feels silly for thinking his original hypothesis. or maybe he's right, and he just didn't try hard enough to change it before
I love how the League had basically been like, "You don't like Chisaki. We don't like Chisaki. So we'll give you a few pushes in the right direction to ensure he gets taken out." And that's just the way it is. Overhaul's cockiness and cruelty made an enemy of both the heroes and the League. And as a result, there was no one left to help him in the end.
All the ones who came from the surface (Uraraka, Tsuyu, the Dragon Hero) were unable to help Izuku due to the big Yakuza's energy drain. They made one last push to break through the ceiling, but they were all exhausted.
Well investigate doesn’t mean do experiment on a child he just said find more about her quirk like everyone else does, we know he is a good man we were told that by his people when bubble girl was talkin to them and when overhaul told him what he was doing he was going to stop him but then overhaul fucked him up. About nighteye we were told his foresight is 100% accurate and he only sees one future and it’s always accurate.
the fact it took deku 1 year , from the end of junior high to the high school entrance exams to be “just enough of a vessel” and get to 0-5% afo and then from that first year of hs to just right before his second year where the manga is now and hes busting out moves like faux 100% with the use of one added quirk , coupled with the current perceived strength of the main antagonist, it just feels so rushed and like there’s a million things being skipped and character development is happening at a weird pace. there was so much potential for this to be what Naruto tried to do , from Naruto to Shippuden to Boruto, Mha could’ve just as easily gone on to be My Hero Academia, My Hero World, My Hero Neo Generation or something, and it wouldve given horikoshi extra room to flesh out all these cool characters we have instead of a one or two chapter backstory right before a new ultimate move, i understand that it’s battle shounen and it’s not as bad as fairy tail by any means, but still

I have watched so many reactions to this episode because it was 100% my favorite, but Morgan's reaction to the scene with Deku's eyes is hands down my favorite yet, because it is EXACTLY what my reaction was.
Fun fact: the music that played when infinite 100% deku wrecked chisaki was AFO's theme. A lot of people had a problem with it from what I heard, but I love it because it isn't there to represent anything evil. Rather, it's there to express just how overwhelming of a presence deku was in that moment.

bro the first time I watched this episode I was sweating and crying and full of goosebumps like crazy! this was such a great episode! the part where Eri jumped to Deku's arms was so emotional and the fight... the fight was legendary! the animation of the final punch was god tier and Deku's look was soooooo dope!
I like to think they were able to change the future Nighteye saw because it’s two quirks that are reliant on the past desperately trying to overwrite the future prophesied by the third. Logically quirks should have weaknesses. Similar to a water quirk being hard for a fire quirk to cope with

She doesn't rewind time, she rewinds people to previous states of existence, but time continues to move forward. **Spoiler** In the most recent chapter of the manga, it is confirmed that Eri's quirk disrupts causality. Meaning she can interfere with the fact that one thing causes another. But again, it has nothing to do with time.
