It is insane how much everyone trusted and played for JT. There has never been a season like that before or since, and it makes you wonder what happened to the guy in his later seasons haha
It’s part of why I honestly dont like this season that much, felt like everyone was an idiot. The other tribe had the majority and just let JT come in and call the shots
Most of the people this season were like, "JT is so amazing, I think he should win. I'm gonna help him win" I mean, it is impressive that he had that power over people (the first time he played.) The only other time this has _sort-of_ happened was the previous season in Gabon where Sugar decides that her Survivor daddy Bob should win.
@@iamkonner4813 Yeah. The show themes and twists were so much better when they came naturally with the location. Restricting it to just Fiji forces production to get creative so seasons feel different and it often hurts the show.

PS: does anyone else miss the globetrotting days as badly as I do? Having worked in the Greens Department on “Big Love” for HBO I am starting to see studio greens & “plantage” all over the island camps in Fiji. “Plantage” is the industry term for greens placed to camera to “cheat” the shots. It may sound small but having potted palms or silks installed on pieces of rebar is so far away from the grit of Tocantins that it changes the heart of the show. If you look closely in Seasons 35-40 you can catch glimpses of old calendar hash marks on trees that were touched up by the Paint Department. The show is “SURVIVOR” so the survival elements are important. We also never see castaways hurting badly for lack of food. Look at Guatemala. Or Panama. Or Africa. I suspect they are being given calories of some sort. Compare Guatemala to Millennials v Gen X. There is no comparison. The other night I was thinking about Cirie’s first episode in Season 12.
