    This is where a full size buggy becomes beneficial. 37’s of the exact same tire are a whole different class on stuff like this

    What I have learned in my experience with RC trucks, super knobby tires don’t handle as well on rocks as rounder A/T tires

    They seam better than the Rockzillas on everything but the slick rock. To bad people only judge tires on slick rock and nothing else.

      @@BamaTrailRiders1 50lb weight, my machine is a mostly stock 120hp X3. Really trying to find the best all around tire. Being from PA I ride a good vareity of terrains, however the clay mud mixes are always around the corner, so are loose soil hills and Zillas aren't quite the best answer.

    • @BamaTrailRiders1
      @BamaTrailRiders1  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah I could imagine zillas wouldnt be good in that kinda area. These tires will absolutely shred in your type of terrain I think but weight does play a factor. These are also more pricey as well. But unless your slamming the front end down on ledges or landing in the throttle i think you would be good. Other than that though xtr370 is good one but also almost just a heavy. Carnivore is another good choice for that.

      They have all switched to Roxxzillas now. We ride with them a lot. They are good tires and may do good where your at but they dont compare to zillas in the rocks.

    Awesome video guys! Any idea what these tires weigh (never mind, just heard you say 50lbs) ? Also, have you had any issues running the CVT intake open like that with no hose on it? Do you get much debris in the CVT?

    • @BamaTrailRiders1
      @BamaTrailRiders1  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks man, love your videos. For 32s they weighed 49.4 pounds per tire. No I have never have had an issue so far. I avoid mud at all costs though. When I built the buggy i was gonna put a filter but its too close to shock. I had a piece of panty hose on it but it ripped and havent put something else back over it.

      @@BamaTrailRiders1 I'd love to run mine open but where we ride I have to go through water and some mud. I'm like you, I'll avoid deep mud anytime I can. Stoked you like our videos man. You guys send hard, I'd love to hit the trails with yall sometime in the future.
      Your running the RS1 front diff and you've still had issues? I was gonna upgrade the front diff in my 2017 turbo this winter to an RS1 setup. Is there any better options?

    • @BamaTrailRiders1
      @BamaTrailRiders1  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks man we definitely will have to ride together one day. I sit so low in this buggy that when water gets 3/4 tire deep ill be sitting in water lol. Yeah we have gone through a few rs1s in our group. We hit a lot ledges down here and when front end lands itll break them. Most people dont hit stuff as hard as we do though. Especially me and keith in the buggies. I think the rs1 will be very good in yours and you wont have a problem. Rs1s are a lot stronger than any built XP diff. Unless you weld it or put a full spool but that makes it all the time 4wd. Im planning on having a spooled diff and stock one. Spooled for beatdowns locally and when we go on trips where we ride fast or on roads ill swap it for the stock one.

      Frogskinz makes a 3in round cover that has adhesive on it. I cut out a piece of aluminum, drilled holes in it and then placed the frogskinz over it. Was going to run a snorkel but my tube chassis doesnt have much room either. Seems to work fine.

    Great video fellas. They look like awesome tires. Especially when it is wet. They would do really good at places like Black Mountain. The weight scares me though. I do not think I will ever change tires again (for real this time lol). The zillas are hard to beat.

      Thanks man, after watching the clips when I got back they wont compare to zillas in rocks im pretty sure. Im just gonna run them at places like black mountain and indian mountain. Im gonna ride another ride or two on them to get a feel for them and switch back to the zillas.

      @@BamaTrailRiders1 oh! Wow they looked way better in your newest vid, maybe they were broke in more lol, im considering a set for my x3. I had 35x10r14 Roxxzillas before and they only lasted a few weeks, got sick of plugging them. I've always been a fan of mickey thompson, they last the longest on my trucks so im thinking they should be beasts on the x3

    • @BamaTrailRiders1
      @BamaTrailRiders1  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah I ran mickeys for a long time on my truck. I think these are one of best all around tire imo. I think the more they break in and round off the lugs the better they will get on rocks. In dirt they are very good. They clean out extremely well. If you do a little of everything this is the tire. They are juat heavy as hell.

  • @jwezzy1329
    @jwezzy1329 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Nice looking tires reminds me of the USD sticky’s. What about they nitto sticky’s? That’s the only tire I have seen that compares to the roxzillas in the rocks, actually performed better if you have watched blown budget off-road.

    • @BamaTrailRiders1
      @BamaTrailRiders1  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes i think they will compare will the USD stickys. They more than likely wont compare to the zilla or nitto on straight rock. That being said the mickey will probably outperform them both in loose, muddy hills and just dirt all around. Ive rode with billy kamm at stony and seen the nittos myself.

    • @jwezzy1329
      @jwezzy1329 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      What did you think about the nittos? Like you said don’t think they will do good in loose stuff like roxzillas

    • @BamaTrailRiders1
      @BamaTrailRiders1  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I really like the nittos from what I've seen. They are going to be a very good rock tire like the zillas. They wont hook up on dirt that well but if u primarily ride rocks I think its a good choice. Busted knuckle sticky tire test video showed how they wouldnt hook up on dirt all that well.

    That's gotta be so much fun down there Man hell yeah. The grounds so much easier down there, hell Kawasaki KRX and even Yamahas RMax both manufacturers are adamant the north east is the absolute hardest wheelin there is. Those ledges are tiny man but I say that in a good way has to be so much fckn fun where even the Polaris and Can Ams actually hold up decent. All of us have owned a couple up here but they're so unreliable and fall apart we all sell them for real Arctic Cat, Yamaha, Kawasaki and even Honda as these are far better machine's. Wet clutch a d far stronger builds from the factory are absolutely necessary as you know dam well as good as me, which is why youve invested so much cash into making it more reliable/stronger. Fckn awesome Rig man I mean it, Cha ching lol can't imagine how much you've spent on her, but it's just like a good Women where once she knows just how you like it and puts out when you need it money isn't the object it's just something that comes and goes just like you on her lol oh the old timers are usually right ain't they.
    After all the axles/diffs and I'm sure CVT mods do your Polaris actually hold up? Hell the billet diffs, rcv's and especially the CVT they never hold up up here even with life long 55 yes olds drivin, even with just 33's!
    KRX and RMax are the only rigs strong enough to actually be reliable this far, RMax snapping rear axles fixed with better stronger aftermarket, KRX center front driveshaft fixed with aftermarket after these mods these machines blow the doors off everything.
    Mind you I say this as another Guy RAGING that I can't get my fckn hands on a new RMAX4 for myself an family lol dealers get them but we're spoken for seemingly months ago! KRX is easy to get tho and will EASILY blow the doors off even your highly modded build, bone fckn stock! Admittedly I didn't believe it myself untill I watched it, drivin by a somewhat city boy with a little over a years experience against guys with decades experience....I mean WTF lol can't with to see the Rigs other manufacturers make as responses to these two far superior machines. KRX will be warrantied with fckn 35's mounted! Polaris can't handle that reliably fully built nvm warrantied and Can Am can last a single ride without breaking or loosing plastic lol
    Awesome video👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 nasty Rig Man
