I took the stock foams out and put some Injora soft inserts into the tires. Work great on Element Bushido.
I know it's probably not reccomended, but I spray my crawler tires in some standard wd40. Let them soak it in for a little bit, and wipe them off with a towel. It makes the tires softer and more grippy
What's the oldest set of tires you have done this to?
The comparison with Pro-Line would be good. But for me Pro-Line is the way to go. Like button engaged algorithms stirred.

i got a set of these tires today after they were lost for about 2 weeks. the foams are stiff enough for a 40lb truck. i ordered some crazy crawler basic foams to use in these tires on my capra. i think its going to do awesome with them.
I totally dig the cheap alternative. Like any tire, even for 1:1 it depends on usage, needs and conditions. Like you said for trail it's more than good enough, and for example on my hauler rig with a trailer at the back with my other crawlers this can be a great and acceptable solution. Why waste on hyraxes or whatever if the rig is not going to climb? No-one put formula 1 or NASCAR tires on their daily! So a knobby tire on a hauler is good for me.

I like dual stage foams(doesn't seem to matter what brand, it gets results) don't get me wrong the predator compound is great, but they just grind off so fast. Ive always had good luck out of the g8 compound, right now my favorite is km3 g8 with proline dual stage on a chinesium wheel
Thank you; Joe. I've saved the link for future use. I'll use a softer foam in the rear and maybe not need to use dual-stage or single-stage closed cell foams as I commonly do up front. When a set of Pro-Lines and foams cost as much as a new Goodyear tire for my VW Jetta my SSI demands I go to "knock-off" land.
Hmmmm I may want a set of these (with better foams) for my TRX-6. Buying tires for that gets expensive... :)
Been running the RC4WD version of these for quite a while on my Gatekeeper now. They're still performing great. I'd like to try the Patagonia tires next, I've heard good things about those to. It would be very nice if all of them were as affordable as those.

I have those tires. After a few weeks, they started leaving black marks on my fingers and stains everywhere. It's as if they were soaked in something to make them sticky and gummy but soaked too long that they started to turn into goo. Hope you have better luck, I got mine from eBay.

when it come to general trail,i always use the off brand knockoffs tyre,i will not put my high quality and expensive tyre just for a normal trail
Im running a set of these on my Redcat Gen 8v2. Foams are still damn stiff after a year. Going for a set of injora silicone inserts. Lets see how the blue ones work.
The medium injora inserts are very effective in these tires.
Should try the climb test without the oil on them
Interested in seeing them with some Anti Foams, and a good cleaning with simple green foaming cleaner. 😈

My Rc4wd Baja pro actually perform amazing on the rocks with 2 stage. One of the best around. Not sure about knock offs tho… 😂
Spray them tires down with WD-40 and let them sit overnight they might soften up you will have to spray the inside and the outside of the tire with it though

Stock foam in all of the knock off tire are terrible. An, even good foams need 3-4 outing to "break in". so right of the box reviews of such things don't demonstrate the quality of foams very well.
