      Do you taste it tho? Cuz it's not a good taste. I put it in cottage cheese and strawberries last night and kinda ugh. So he is holding a pill of turmeric but he didn't explain about turmeric in pill form whether good or bad. And how do you take pepper with an pill? I dunno. All ambiguous. I guess I'm gonna try it in a smoothie today but I hope I don't taste it.

    Thanks Doc! I knew about termeric and black pepper. I put it most things included black coffee.( I used to drink coffee with sugar and creamer, but with baby steps learn to drink it black with some seasoning). I sometimes put lemon juice in it for flavor.. Thats good to know about having it with fats and cooking with it. My big sister was shocked that I used it for cooking.. She thought it was only good for dying fabric with it. I told her I put turmeric in everything ,including desserts like Brownies! I also told her it has tons of health benefits. She was blown away cause she was taught alot about a spice.😂🤗🌻💛🍷

      I enjoy my coffee sweetened with a mix of coconut sugar with erythritol or monk fruit or stevia, and I put a natural creamer made of oats, so delicious and natural, very very low in carbs.
      I use the turmeric with black pepper and coconut oil to cook rice, vegetables, soups, salsas, and scrambled eggs. There is no need to ruin the flavor of your coffee with spices ☕😊

      @@paolac.1678 I used to drink coffee like you do but I have learned to go without that . true once in a while I do treat myself with coconut creamer and special sugars.
      Putting spices in my coffee gives it a new different kind of taste and it does help me to drink it black since drinking black coffee has better benefits for the body. ,than creamer and sugar.. Im impressed with myself because I thought I will not be able to do that. Drinking coffee black ( with help of spices ) is a huge step for me.💛🌻🤓

    It should be noted that one of turmeric's main compounds, curcumin, rapidly degrades when heat is applied to it so if you want the BEST benefits you should add it to an oil with black pepper.
    Or make a fire cider and mix that with oil on salads.

    We started taking a Tumeric supplement after watching one of Dr Mandell's videos. I ended up in the hospital with "severe inflammation and hemorrhaging" in my stomach. I spent a painful four days, part of it throwing up bile, in the hospital. I'm now under the care of a GI. AND I no longer take Tumeric. My husband was also taking it and began to have similar stomach pain, but after he stopped taking Tumeric, his symptoms subsided. BE CAREFUL. What works for one person doesn't necessarily work for another. My primary care doctor told me he has seen numerous patients who had stomach and kidney issues after taking Tumeric.

      @710LENNY 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      You are wasting your money with just a supplement. Get whole turmeric and grate it, or get powdered turmeric (suggest bulk store), preferably organic, but hey, don't over worry it. Cook it in some oil, definitely add black pepper - stir fry with veggies and meats, other "hot" spices. If you prefer to drink it, again add a shake of black pepper and serve it in heated milk, or tea with milk or other fat. If you get fed up with the taste, you can buy the gel caps and fill them with the powder, but again, make sure you are taking it with black pepper and some fat.
