Good job. I wanted to share few things having experience with samurai spray bottles. If you are using 1K, then use colour and clear 1K. If you are using 2K, then use colour and clear 2K. Primer can me used either 1K or 2K, doesn’t matter. You need to shake the bottle for only 2-3 minutes. 30 minutes is way too much. While painting, use single Stoke and in every stroke try to do at least 50- 75% overlap.( colour) While painting clear 70-80% overlap. If you can coverup the whole space, then you can avoid dirt getting onto the paint so sanding can be avoided. If there is drip down or little imperfections, then sand it lightly with 1500 grit sandpaper. Only give 15 minutes while painting the next coat. Taking into consideration of Kerala’s temperature. ( not doting monsoons) the paint should be dry and wet so that the second layer can sit on top of first layer to fill small tiny gaps. After 2-3 coats of clear, sand with a 2000 grit sandpaper and cut it with a compound and polish. For long lasting shine you can even do a ceramic coating. Just take care of how you wash the vehicle. Use microfibre cloth, use car shampoo etc and the finish will last for long time. Anyway, really good job. Thanks for spreading these information to more people. A lot of people spread wrong info on TH-cam and people get bad results. Whenever painting, always prep the surface, primer, then paint and clear coat. Only that will give lasting results. A proper respiratory mask is a must. 2K paint is always used in a paint booth, in a controlled environment. If you end up getting dust or impurities in paint it will really ruin your work and it’s even more difficult to correct it. So for DIY use please prefer 1K. And you can get really good results with 1K. Hope it helps someone.
