One thing not mentioned and not many rheumatologists specialize in this (I’m super lucky to have an amazing rheumatologist), is connective tissue disease. I had hand pain (severe, no injuries) starting in my 30’s. No changes in the appearance of my fingers. Ruled out RA and OA. My rheumatologist ordered an RNP test as the rest of my blood work was normal and voila…RNP came back positive for Connective Tissue Disease. The two previous rheumatologists I had seen (one at Mayo Clinic in FL), basically told me the pain was in my head and/or fibromyalgia and I needed to go to counseling…neither mentioned or tested my RNP…very upsetting!
Thanks for this video. I know how the patient missed needle point. I had just come to peak in fine pen and pencil art and now cannot hold either pen or pencil. I miss it so much.
