- New Surf Coaster at SeaWorld Orlando - Pipeline is open for Platinum passholders, and open to the public soon! The Bolliger and Mabillard stand-up style coaster is the first of its kind in the world. It is an excellent ride! Surprising for sure!

Surprisingly it’s not. Just got my first ride on it yesterday. The entire ride is smooth. I also prefer it to Mako.
This looks like it gives all the airtime I hoped it would! Like at every possible moment. And I’d there’s not airtime and you want it, you just jump, and then you’ve made airtime.

This ride is very intense .
I went on this last month, and idk if I just didn't weigh enough or if my seat was stuck. But it wouldn't go down when I sat in it. My legs were dangling 90% of the time lmao. Spooked me a bit

Am I crazy, or are the over the shoulder straps similar to those on manta? The ones on manta give me bruises
Would one consider this a smooth coaster?
I rode it yesterday. It’s a great smooth ride. The start is great and fast but only issue is it’s not a long ride. Mako is still the best thrilling ride at SeaWorld and much more airtime.

I rode it yesterday. Very smooth. No rattle. I was expecting some but no. It was a great ride!

Im pretty sure without the vests there wouldnt be anything to stop the riders from potentially flying out of the restraints so no, its not overkill. Just uncomfortable.

It didn’t hurt me that much down there. It was fun but yeah I guess sometimes it might hurt a little. But if you get comfortable you will be fine.
eh. for something that is called surf coaster, i was expecting water. like getting wet or something.
There is a water effect. You just don’t get wet. Although I would like to see it spray people mid ride with mist or something. It would be so cool.

@@AmusementInsider yeah it hurt my collar bone as well. I hated sitting there on the brake run and in the station because the operations are terrible. But overall I loved the ride.

@@SmileBullet Okay, not literal head banging... But watch their necks and shoulders and their knees in the turns. Lots of side to side vibration there. I'm sure it's a byproduct of the stand up design, but it doesn't look comfortable. And I can't imagine it'll get better with time.
I’m pretty sure those head rests are cushioned the hell out of.
