Live in the States and we have a plaque in our town with over 300 names of men from here (not a big town either) who fought in Europe during WWI. Makes me get goosebumps as I pass it on my daily walks and look at the names of those youngsters. God bless them and their descendants.

My great uncle David Long, was killed in the Meuse-Argonne Offensive in WW1 right before the war ended. He was a messenger running back and forth delivering orders when he was hit by cannon fire. Unfortunately there wasn't hardly anything left of him when they found him. His twin brother also served in WW1 making it through the war unharmed.
