Not gonna lie, seeing both Zordon and Kruger together REALLY sets the tone of just how serious the situation is, made even more tense with them asking Rita for help.

Nothing like a good story line with new and old power rangers. It would be great to hear the other Rangers real voice in this, but it never gets old hearing Tommy as a ranger
well they did get ASJ as Jason, and i’m hearing rumors they got David and Dan back as RJ and Eric perspectively

Never in my life did I ever imagine Cruger meeting Rita Repulsa. I was obsessed with Shadow Ranger back when SPD was on TV in 2005. I was 13, and I still remember imagining fighting alongside Cruger. God, how the years have gone by.
BTW, they should've used Cruger's original voice actor. He sounds nothing like I remember.

John Tui (Cruger's actor) was probably busy at the time this was made, but it's good that they got Kyle Hebert to voice him for this game.

For the record...I have a feeling they are BUILDING up to this in the PR series. In Ninja Steel we saw the "Dimensions in Danger" episode which was a highly watered down version of Shattered Grid...but now Beast Morphers features USING the Morphing Grid for clean energy on a scale that has never been attempted! There have GOT to be serious ramifications for this...and I for one think we're going to see at (at least for a little while) a return to interconnected seasons.
For a former stuntman whose main acting roles have been on children's programming, JDF is a surprisingly powerful actor.
imagine this as an animated series or 3D series (like the Clone wars)

Kat Manx is my favorrite ranger ever, im so glad she gets the justice she deserves since she was ranger for only one battle in SPD
the main reason for that was that the ranger she was based on had a rule to never use her morpher except for one day every 10 years. So she didn't have alot of footage. I do wish they revealed that morpher had a bit more juice for the final battle though sense it was a temporary device but she clearly didn't use the whole time up in the ep she used it.
The truth is Saban is much of a cheapskate to just record new battle scenes. They just want to mooch off the footage from the sentai series

The enhanced Drakkon should have had a bit of zeo ranger 5 and black dino thunder as part of his appearance.
In the comic Drakkon has 3 evolutions. In the first one he takes the Samurai powers, the one we see in the game is the second one where he takes the Zeo powers. In the third he takes the power of various morphers, unfortunately this final form does not appear in the game.
I’ll be honest if we had every other actor besides JDF voicing their character that would’ve been amazing except of course Trini and Madonna May you both Rest In Peace.

What an EPIC story! Though it might not have did the game any justice, it's still a great story. Sidenote: was that the original Tommy's voice from the original TV show series?? Sure sounded like it to me. ✌🏾

If someone can make a successful sequel series for Karate Kid, there is no reason they couldn't just take this story and give us a live action version on any streaming service, dammit. I'm sure Jason David Frank would be thrilled to reprise his role.
Have you watched any of the fan films such as Power Rangers Unworthy, Power Rangers Shattered Past, First Ninja and Rise of the Ninja? Some of those stories tie in with the story, but it's more adult.
If Lauren doesn't become playable I will be very sad, she felt very usless in Samurai and deserved better

I powered through story mode in one night to see it all unfold as a tribute to the late great Jason David Frank, our beloved Green Ranger. May the power protect us all.

seeing it out of game makes me think even more that the story was too broken up. Wasn't expecting Mortal Kombat 11 levels of story but more than jump cuts .

Look at the pros, the gameplay at least has dynamic narrative integration like Tekken 7, and unlike MK11. This made it a lot more engaging to play than say the arcade mode.
This is really 😎 I'm glad they change tommy's fate in the end. It would be more cool if they were from another 🌎 like ranger slayer, black dragon, king tyranno and the others or I think zordon would b 😎 as king tyranno.

You can watch a video on JDF's TH-cam channel of him doing it while being directed by the comic book writer. It's mainly from himself and the writer, tho Johnny was surely an inspiration.
I looked this up after seeing the video of JDF recording his lines with Kyle Higgins but the voice acting actually doesn't sound that great, maybe it's just that it sounds like JDF is trying his hardest but everyone else is just lacking.

In the 90s, Power Rangers comics were done by Marvel, so they could've had the Avengers team up with the Rangers then. In the updated comics, the Power Rangers team up with the Justice League.
I'm still slightly disappointed they didn't include one more element to the "main guest stars" aside Jen and Lauren. TJ would make the dynamics feel different, since his team was the first all new ranger team.

At the end when tommy said it was good seeing you when Jason said you too tommy you too hit the heart it felt like they as in the voice actors ASJ and JDF settled there. Problems and brought back the feeling of the original team

... Okay so asking the one foe ( gg zordon) for help turned out to be a good thing but in the end .... Drakon couldn't even save his own life cause he wanted power ... And it cost him...
That, and he couldn't deal with the fact that he was the ONLY Tommy that went wrong. Every other version of him were good people. He was the odd man out.

Believe it or not, apparently there's a lot of fans that dislike RPM because it deviates from the source. It doesnt matter if the source is garbage.
@@BurnRoddy I don't understand that. Mind you, I loved Go-Onger. It was so goofy and campy that it was hard not to like it. But I definitely enjoyed the more serious and gritty tone of RPM a lot more. Just a difference in tastes, I guess.

@@hewhostandsalone Supposedly its because the bright colored suits are too campy for the story they went for. But I call BS on that.
So far the only Ranger that has a suit that would do good on a sci-fi series is the Phantom Ranger, and that's because its basically the suit from The Wraith, then there's Zen-Aku which is not exactly a PR.
The rest are all corny as hell and you can still write any kind of story with them. Some of them like the Lost Galaxy Rangers and the In Space Rangers had pretty dark stories, heck all PR from the first Saban era all the way to Deker in Power Rangers Samurai, had some dark element to their stories, even the OG teenagers with attitude had the Green Ranger saga. So no, IMHO the suits have nothing to do with how dark a story should be, the Zords maybe, even tho you can still pull it off, but the suits most definitely not.

@@geoxev9423 by the point of drakkon killing the other Tommys, he had already absorbed another team's powers (the ninja steel Rangers), in addition to having learned space magic from his Rita. He snuck up on those other Tommys and killed them away from their teams, and while they were unmorphed

Well he betrayed her in so far as he KILLED her...but it was more like once he got two sets of powers (green and while) he saw that Rita's goals were not big enough. Drakkon couldn't be happy with JUST the world, or even the universe...no he had to gain all the powers he could and conquor every dimension in creation!

So, Lauren Shiba is in the story mode, but isn't playable? Matter of fact, the Phantom Ranger from Turbo, Zhane from In Space, Koda from Dino Charge, Zack (or Adam) from Mighty Morphin', Wes from Time Force, and who knows who else cameoed in this game aren't playable, but can be seen in the Story Mode?
