sir, you are doing a fantastic job in spreading your immense knowledge in economics, you r a philanthropist for me keep the good work on, kudos to your selfless service!!

I have recently joined a bank and i was struggling to increase my knowledge after seeing this video i am feeling very happy and now i will watch every single video of your channel and i think i will be much confident after watching all your videos.
Few are the concepts that I would like to know from you on your upcoming videos. If you can cover these, that will be really helpful. 1. Does RBI charge any interest on the money, given to the Central government? 2. From where funds are given from central government to state government and what role does RBI has in this act.?
Sir ap to banking n economics ke knowledge ka bhandar ho...this will help a common man to get literate in banking n economics..thanks a lot sir for ur these efforts 🙏🙏🙏👌👌👌
Hi Asset Yogi, I have been following your channel for quite some time and have learnt a lot of financial terminology which helped me plan my finances. Thank you for doing this! I wanted to request for a video on "Diff b/w MLCR and Repo Rate and which one to choose for a home loan".
you teach in very proper way .you teaching in very deep explation i am student at one of the best management college of maharashtra , when compare to my college faculties your way of teaching is best
Sir, You remind us of yesteryear star Vishwajeet ,you are undoubtedly being quite the similar in this field..When you say "aur khoosh rahiye ! ...Would certainly lessen the stress due to finances for millions ..What a cosmic continuity! Best wishes.
Thanks a million sir I have been searching numerous videos and read many articles but none provided the exact relation of repo and reverse repo with inflation and growth this video made such a confusing topic just easy.
Sir me batanahi sakta aapko ki yeh video mujhe kitna jada pasand aaya...... Aisa lag raha hai ki bas ek bar aap se mil loon......... Concept clear ho gaya hai
Hello Sir.. adequate knowledge gained from this video. I just want to know how this repo rate functions in investment banking process. Please it would be helpful if u share your ideas on this as well.
reverse repo rate m RBI km loan legi commercial banks se to unke pass jada paise honge loan dene k liye to suppy bdegi than purachsing power bdgi or us se humare price bhi bdenge to inflation or growth dono hogi
Simple thing is, if reverse repo rate is low, banks will get less interest from rbi.. if they get less interest from rbi, why would they deposit their money to rbi?? They would rather give those money to public in the form of loan with less interest (but not lesser than reverse repo rate).. if the money increases in open market, then obviously inflation increases, thus growth increases.
To decrease the liquidity of money in the market....RBI buys money from commercial banks against the government security . So if reverse repo rate gets increased commercial banks invest more money to RBI. And If more money comes under RBI , inflation automatically decreased and we saw the growth in economy.
Super classic way to explain . The terms which, for very long, horrified me, are now looking so much easy and comprehensive that i slowly developing confidence of i am also able to clear UPSC. Thanks a lot sir.
Sir apne ye to bta diya ki repo , reverse repo kya h par yah overnight me kis tarah kam karta hai aur term repo me kis tarah kam karta . Mera mantlb h ki ye overnight me aur term repo dono me ek jaisa hi biyaj lagega ya aalag . Aur abhi repo rate 5.15 h to kya overnight aur ,term repo same hoga ? Sir plz reply me as soon as
The Reverse Repo Rate is always less than the Repo Rate. In overnight Repo, the bank borrows for one day and paying the interest for that day, at the same time term repo means, the bank borrows for one week, two weeks or four weeks. Here the amount varies based on time.
@@EconomicsSwamy if RBI borrows money from banks only for one day and then repurchase there securities from banks the very next day, then how one day deal will put effect on the overall econmy?
Sir why RBI increases reverse repo rate when it needed to control inflation? If it wants to restrict the bank from issuing loans then why it increases the reverse repo rate?
Just imagine a situation Banks have lots of liquidity and they are depositing their money to RBI with reverse repo rate. By this RBI can understand that the market has much liquidity which can cause inflation. So they will decrease their reverse repo rate so that banks can get less profit. But while decreasing reverse repo they will also decrease repo rate which can increase liquidity because of less rates. Or If RBI increases repo rate it means market has much liquidity, but with increasing repo rate they also increase reverse repo rate which will also increase their liquidity because now they will be able to gain more interest. So how can we say that both the rates do the same function???? Please make me understand.
It is not necessary that both the rates will increase at time.To drain liquidity from market they they will decrease repo rate and keep the reverse repo rate unchanged.Guide me if i am wrong
When there is inflation, RBI increases repo and reverse repo rate. Increasing reverse repo means banks will get more interest if they give their extra money to RBI, so instead of lending the money to public as loans, they lend it to RBI. That way the surplus money is stored with RBI instead of floating in the market.
First of all thank you for explaining in such simple way with good illustration. Make it easy to understand. Request you to please us on the Basis point system used for REPO rate changes.

Sir, it was much easy explanation. Thanks. I jst have one doubt how lowering reverse repo rate can help to boost growth?

Sir why RBI increases reverse repo rate when it needed to control inflation?
If it wants to restrict the bank from issuing loans then why it increases the reverse repo rate?
Bilkul sahi question
Though I am from medical research background, watching your video to increase my knowledge,, awesome explanation. 👍👍
