I think this is the main reason why I’m getting on so much better with the Avanti too. The dragonfly feels a little to aggressive for me coming from a road running background
Great video Ben 👍 Would you say the Avanti could work on the muddy XC courses we get in the UK? Also does it feel reasonably stable - considering taller stack. Cheers.
How'd I guess? ;) Not tried the Dragonfly myself but I'm really getting on really well with the Avanti and definitely looking forward to hitting a 5000m in them myself. HUGE good luck this evening!! Go smash it :)
Thanks Katie!! I think if I had more time to train in dragonfly they’d probably become my first choice but for now that extra cushion is always welcomed :)
@BenIsRunning Thanks for the review! Would you say the Adidas Avanti is good for both training & racing? Also, would it be okay to use on an outdoor track with gravel?
Another great video Ben! I've got an open track 5km event coming up and I can't decide between the Avanti and the Takumi Sen 8 for it (I know technically the TS8 is illegal!) but from a pure performance perspective, which one would be your pick? Thanks buddy 💪🏾
Avanti just dont get enough credit. Adidas needs more marketing on it. Btw pls do a review if u are willing to try the ambitions. They are really cheap on sportshoe. I saw some 5k runners using it especially the NAU bois. They kinda swear by it
Honestly great video! I stumbled upon this video and although i don't run 5k found thins quite interesting. Just a question, what would you recommend for track shoes for 400-800 (aside from the very dominant air zoom victories)?
Comes down to personal experience but the main difference here is in the level of cushioning. Much more so in the Adidas so i personally prefer it for the longer track distances.
brilliant video once again, thank you! i definitely prefer the adidas avanti, im a mid foot striker and i find the avanti 100% suits me better! :)

First yeaaah!!! . Let's enjoy pro tip stream this on your 70 inch tv and watch with the family 👪 happy bday 🎂 dad
This is the video I’ve been looking for and so glad one of my fav running TH-camrs made it, thanks so much this was really helpful!
You’re welcome max! Hope it helps with your choice :)
Great breakdown between the two shoes!
Thank you jobanski! 🎉
Great to see this comparison
Thanks TP

I just order the Avanti because I find it more forgiving. Great review 🎉

Complimenti ottima analisi! Bravissimo
Worth getting the Air Zoom Victory for 1500 /1600 over the Dragonfly. You really notice the difference.
Really a preference. Look at how many are using dragonfly over victory
I’ve never tried them, they look to be more favourable as the distance gets shorter from pro coverage I’ve watched :)
Not worth the money, and less comfortable/versatile. You can run the same time in the Dragonfly for mid distance. Bergin just ran the 800 WL in them.
Great video Ben, i make my decicion Adidas Avanty is a great shoe .
I went for the the Avantis they just fit nicer small. 😊

If I could get away with wearing Takumi I’d wear them but the avanti have a very similar feel just slightly less lightstrike pro
@@BenIsRunning thanks Ben - very helpful. 👍🏽
Best of luck with the Essex Champs tomorrow man!
Thanks will
I picked the dragonfly because I got them on sale for £90 but the adidas looks awesome aswell
And there’s probably more hype with the dragonfly
@@harryrichards4654 I picked the avanti up for £106 so pretty happy I did /)
great hoodie, ben
Thank mate! New today :)
Idk man it looks pretty tragic from where I’m sitting.
@@buffaloj0e cheers lad
I prefer the dragonflys love the vids
Thanks mate

Hey yan! I’ll definitely look into picking that up as I too am curious as to why some have been picking that
Will you be picking up the on cloudpsike ben
I certainly hope so

if you are a beginer i would recommend the Nike D10 racing spikes
get maxflys or victories
Good luck!
Thank you SIFI
Which of them is the best for the 1500m?
Great video Ben. Are you going to test out the new metaspeed ld spike?
I’d I can get my hands on it :)
@@BenIsRunning yeah that seems really promising
Does Nike vomero 16 is used for 5k and 10k race? Means can I get speed from this shoe?
What would you wear for the 800? Either of those or something like the victory?
I personally would still wear dragonfly as prefer a little more shoe underfoot but that’s coming from a marathon runner 😂
800 to 1500 meters Adidas Ambition.
Any tips for how to run faster in races?
Stay in the moment and don’t preempt the pain that’s to come
Thanks. Got a race on Friday, fingers 🤞
Hi, i use the Adidas to run my 5000 and 10000 (they are really good). I want ask you.. if the Nike are good shoes to use in a cross country race...
I’ve personally used dragonfly’s for 5ks to 8ks and I’ve never had issues with them. They’ve always felt comfortable and fast enough.
Which one has best energy return and energy saving
Comes down to personal experience but the main difference here is in the level of cushioning. Much more so in the Adidas so i personally prefer it for the longer track distances.
I run in this shoe and it’s great
Does adidas avanti tyo spikes make too much noise when you are running fast with that ?
