Jozu probably has a lot of pent up emotions more so than the rest of the crew, I'm pretty sure he was frozen solid during ace and WhiteBeard death, he couldn't do anything during both and couldn't even witness them dying

SPOILER ALERT: Izo is indeed from Wano, and Oden was the main reason he joined the crew in the first place, and due to the former joining Roger, Izo became a division commander that way.
Marco is my favorite Character in One Piece... So of course he's my favorite out of the top commanders... Izo is very interesting to me I feel like theres more to him and Oda is probably setting up for him to be reintroduced to the story he seems to be very detailed... And even though it's anime only for him to mention how brittle someones blade is along with Wano being a country of samurai and his whole look that just doesn't seem like coincidence... I can imagine the reason he uses guns is probably in protest of the samurai customes in Wano or something of the sort...

Thatch could very well be the head chef on the crew. When Ace is scarfing down food when he is announced the 2nd commander. Thatch does mention for him to slow down because the food isn't going anywhere and he follows it up with "trust me" he also mentions that the banquet is for him. could be coincidence but i think he is the head chef of the crew

I like to think vista's flower petals can cut like Byakuya's flowers in Bleach... I have no evidence to back that up but it's the story I'm sticking with until Oda says otherwise

Has anyone else noticed this weird effect in OP where we’ve come so far in the story that when we see super powerful characters instead of wondering what Devil Fruit they have we instead kind of hope or want that the character just has an alternative means to their power? It’s almost like DF have gotten stale or we’ve just acclimated to them to the extent that they seem to be normal as an explanation. Bizarre.
Some times the community learns of like the nine tail fruit and we just say well they are in black beard's crew

Ace I fell is the Head Navigator and the 2nd division is the Navigators´ Since he is always wearing a Log Pose just like Nami. No other characters do. Itwould also explain how he can go on his tiny boat all alone chasing after Blackbeard without falling from it on a surprise storm in the middle of one of those random grand line weather changes

can we get an updated version of this with wano info such as Izo and also tying in odens history and such? also i rewatched marineford recently and BB mentions that thatch was one of WBs top commanders, meaning he may have been on par with say jozu and vista, though it wasnt said for sure. perhaps hes like sanji with knife skills, but he used them in combat?

im pretty sure in an SBS, Oda said that the number of division a person is a captain of is not a ranking system of who is stronger. probably with the exception of Marco cause he is portrayed as the right hand man of White Beard, plus he's an invincible Phoenix so he must be really strong. but other than that, the 16th captain doesn't mean the weakest, nor does it means Ace is the second strongest captain. if anything Ace could be one of the weaker captains cause he's still young and inexperience on his pirate journey while the White Beard pirates have been around for probably a few decades.

I would say Haruta for his combat style and Marco for his Devil Fruit ability
