His arranging talent is unparalleled. So, SO good and suited for his voice. This is the second song he's done that Tennessee Ernie was known for. Not so fun fact: the piano was a half step flat and he had to play it against the soundtrack. I can't even imagine how he did it. *shudder
@@robertboling9057 lower yes, by one note. Tomi P is even lower at F0 and higher at F6. It’s a personal preference on what tone you like best. I prefer a clear tone to a growl, but I admire Tim’s talent and his voice is perfect for country.
@@robertboling9057 Geoff has admitted he doesn't sing loud but that still doesn't take away from the fact that they both have the same low bass tone. As far as Time blowing a speaker/sound system that can easily be done by the sound engineer. What good is a so called note if you can't hear it enough to understand the word ? At least you can hear the word Geoff is singing. Besides, Geoff has more musical talent than Tim will ever have. Geoff is a musical genius his solo arrangements & productions are unmatched.
He did this one for Kathy, his wife. Then did High and Dry for himself. This one is beautiful. The old folk song goes back to the fur traders that plied the rivers in the Appalachian mountains. The story here was that this fur trader fell in love with the daughter of the chief of the Oneida Iroquois Native American tribe but her father wouldn't let her go. I think it goes back to the 1850s or 60s.
Just beautiful. And I love how you comment on the more hidden stuff that we don't always realize is happening in the background. It's really nice watching someone truly enjoying a song like you do.

I love his entire range. I really do. He has such excellent breath control, he pulls off his high end as well as his low end. His voice just reminds me of silk wrapped in honey. It's smooth and gentle, even on his growls or subharmonics. Melts me every single time. It was really cool to hear you point out the subtle sound of the keys, too. You're the first reactor that I've seen notice that, and I've been waiting to see if anyone did. It's the little things that make this piece - those key sounds add a nice texture to the song for me, almost like a metronome as they set the pace for the whole piece. I love his arrangements, and his filming each of his layers in such a way that the final product looks as if the four Geoff's are actually all interacting together is a wonderful touch. You have to actually think about that and do that intentionally to pull it off like this! And he does it with a lot of his solo pieces. I love it. LOL.
I cannot improve on what Candi Lunsford has to say... This is the most beautiful performance I have ever heard from him...it soothes my soul and makes me weep. Thank you a thousand times thank you

The word Shenandoah is of unknown Native American origin....Schin-han-dowi, the "River Through the Spruces", On-an-da-goa, the "River of High Mountains" or "Silver-Water", and an Iroguois word for "Big Meadow" have all been proposed by Native American etymologists.

I think it's just voices, but I would have to go back and listen closely with headphones to be completely positive. Like you said though, rich, nonetheless!

I love his high baritone as well. It’s awesome he can go so low but his voice is just gorgeous in this range.
And yet Tim Foust is still deeper and more powerful in his bass voice than Geoff will ever be
