Hi Cliff. You've talked me out of The Manitou, though I have been meaning to read another one from Masterton after enjoying the cheesey The Ghost in Grey (or something to that effect). good review of Needless Street. Though I liked the book, it is my least favourite of hers. What Chad Lutke book would you suggests for my 1st Lutke experience?
Hi Michael, it is difficult to say with Chad Lutzke. He generally writes about damaged younger characters and coming of age stories. His stories are not so much all out horror, more horror with heart. My favorite is Skullface Boy, which I found profoundly moving.
Of Foster Homes and Flies is on my list as well. Thank you so much for the kind words. To be able to have such a nice chat with you on your show, and to have you read my work is just wonderful. Loved the storm sounds in among this!
Absolute pleasure. I was such a wonderful chat and I loved having you on my show. I've decided to read Of Foster Homes and Flies in October. He is such an amazing author and I want to work my way through his full body of work.
Nice wrap up! Loved the sound effects 😉 I remember loving Last House on Needless Street when I read it and need to read more of her books for sure. Thanks for getting weird with us! So glad you enjoyed Worm and His Kings-that ending! 🤯 I finished the trilogy for WOW and really loved it. 🪱
I have a book called Looking Glass Sound by Catriona Ward that I haven't read yet. I'm glad you liked ACOTAR. It is good going into a book with low expectations and liking it
Sounds like some great books overall Cliff! Sorry you didn’t enjoy At the Mountains of Madness. I definitely want to read You Like it Darker at some point.
Actually, the storm added a cool ambiance to your video! I haven't read any of those, although I plan to read You Like It Darker. I am just waiting to get it from a thrift store. My next King book to read is Fairy Tale and I am having trouble getting started on it. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
I enjoyed Hailey Piper's Queen of Teeth. I need to get to more of her books. The storm added some nice ambience to this video. Great wrap-up!
Thanks Jen, glad you enjoyed the storm ambience. I still need to read Queen of Teeth.

Thanks Crystal, always fun to get weird with you all. I definitely need to read the trilogy because that ending was insane. 😲
I really want to get The Manitou. I collect vintage horror and this one is on my to buy list.
It was definitely a fun read considering it was his debut novel.

LOL yeah the thunder comes in just the right spot.
Thank you for watching! You Like it Darker is definitely one of his better collections, in my opinion. I still want to read Fairy Tale.
