Everytime they are asked in an interview who has the best voice (with either Avi or Matt) they all say Mitch but they talk about how much vocal control he has. Also in an interview Kirstin said when they won the sing off she was bawling and someone asked her something and she said I am just so glad that people are going to hear Mitchs voice finally.
See now that’s the difference for me, the Billie Eilish version was done well but I wasn’t listening to the lyrics as carefully, I think because my brain kept screaming get that snake off of her. Where in this version there were no distractions so the lyrics really hit me (not to mention this flawless performance just gave me goosebumps). I like Billie Eilish‘s music and her performance style but I could do without the distractions in her videos that make it difficult for me to focus on what’s truly important.
I've been listening to this daily since he released it...Mitch literally is probably one of the most humble artists I have the pleasure of listening too. We are all so excited for his solo work!

So many faults that I had to fight. Mitch Grassi, although he is Texan (therefore American), has an extraordinary richness: his voice. He knows his subject. He did the arrangement himself, wrote the piano (and synth) score and played the accompaniment. He uses his voice to reinterpret an already exceptional work. Coming from him, that's almost normal. And we forget, faced with the result, the work that he had to accomplish to arrive at this result where nothing is to be removed or added. The first three notes announce the sequel. He lays bare the interpretation he undertakes to combat. Was it already good? He goes further, enclosing us in his universe, drawing us into his worlds, announcing without arrogance the calm and gentle evolution of Mitch Grassi. A bit like Avi, who embarks on a solo career, which goes further, surpassing himself, creating a new world in our listening. Pentatonix is a breeding ground for diverse talents. PTX is an incredible richness, where everyone can express their own talent until the achievement of perfection. This without taking anything away from the group's works. With time, work, each expresses its progress towards our astonishment, our pleasure, the accomplishment of our own discovery of the Human. Thanks to you, Fable, for teaching us this piece of genius that is Mitch.

Also, if you're looking for more Mitch, there's a video of him singing Kiss the Air, at 16 years old (I think the video is actually called Mitch Grassi 2009) and it absolutely blows my mind. Also, Find You, which is a Zedd cover that he collabed on with Evan Duffy. Both exquisite.
I've been waiting for you to react to this! I knew you would be floored by it. Insane is exactly the right word for it. I don't comment much, just subscribe to my favourite reactors and drop a comment here and there, but I actually commented on Mitch's video for this one because of my son. He's 6 and has ASD. He's Minecraft mad and my username is his because he wanted to post Minecraft videos on here (he's in my profile pic). Anyway, long story short, it usually takes me anything up to an hour to get him to stop playing Minecraft, but when I played this song the other day, he stopped playing after about 5 seconds, said "ooh, this is lovely', and then listened to the ENTIRE song before he started playing again. Every time I play the song, he stops to listen and watch. That's how insane this song is. Mitch connected with an ASD 6 year old and keeps him engaged. That's mind blowing to me. Love Pentatonix and loved watching their performances in Sing Off Series 3 in 2011, which they won. As you’ve said, each of them are amazing in their own right and they truly deserve their success. I don't think I've ever heard Mitchy make a mistake unless he's doing it on purpose while goofing around. He's amazing beyond belief. You should cover some Super Fruit, which is Mitch & Scott on their own.....you hear a lot of Mitch's "amazingness".
Wonderful reaction! Everything you said - same. Mitch doesn't have a lot of solo songs out there, but if you listen to a few Superfruit music videos, you get to hear his voice more than with PTX. A few suggesitons: SF Empire Medley (my favorite), SF Beyonce Medley, and for fun - SF Feeling Myself or Hip Hop Goes Broadway 1 and 2.

I'm not fond of ranking artists of this caliber. They just hit different. Billie's version leaves me in tears. Mitch's leaves me in awe.

Hey Fil recently I suggested you react to trauma by nf and you said you thought you may have done it already. I checked your nf playlist and I don't see it so I'm pretty sure you haven't. It's pretty similar to paralyzed except there is no rap it's just a ballad, with as you always say "Hans Zimmer vibes".
