@@royalgaragellc as a suggestion, something on LED replacements. I'm currently prototyping some designs that will block the glare from the bottom portion of the mirror cones. As this will save oncoming traffic from being blinded but will retain the upper mirroring of the cone to light the road way. Coming up with a PVC plastic design that will snap into the bottom portion for ease of implementation. Have a couple 3d printed designs however ABS has okay thermals, PVC would be better for the Texas heat (especially after this year's Summer.

Do you have pictures or a more in-depth video on how you connected the angel eyes? I have an 07 RS4 b7 if that matters, but I don’t know how to connect the white wires inside the headlight casing and the steps for it.
That RTV Silicone you used. Is it holding up? I've been looking to redo both my lenses and I see people use the Butyl strips and have to heat it up again. I'd rather not do that if I can avoid it
First off I apologize for such a late response, but the RTV silicone that I used has held up nicely, haven’t had any moisture get in or any other issues with my headlights since I put them back together
Thankfully I haven’t had any real issues with the lights, the system does think the lights are out, but to me that isn’t a big deal, I’m sure if you just put resistors in you wouldn’t have a problem!

That also happened to me as well when I had cheaper led blinkers bulbs. Since I switched to the more expensive alla led blinker bulb I haven’t had that issue yet. Fingers crossed. But I also haven’t been driving the car lately cause it isn’t exactly running the best as you may know if you’ve seen my latest video lol so that could all change once I start daily driving it again. 😂

Unfortunately I do still get errors for the led blinkers, I thought maybe using the higher end bulbs would help with that, but the car still doesn’t seem to like them. But I did find that using the higher end bulbs over the cheaper bulbs, they tend to last longer, and the individual leds don’t go out like on the lower end bulbs, which was more of my concern than any potential errors, but if you find a solution for those errors please let me know! Lol
@royalgaragellc if they are blinking so to speak, if I remember it right it's to do with the dead times on the bulbs and because they're LED not incandescent the dead time is much shorter. Solution? Purchase a cantus w5w resistor block that goes inline inbetween the bulb itself and the connector cup on the headlight loom

I actually tapped into two power sources, I did this so I can have the halos turn on when unlocking the car at night with the key and so I can just choose when to turn them on. I tapped into both the fog light power and the drl power. Hope that helps!
@@royalgaragellc ohh alright cool yea that definitely helps, I saw when you disassemble the headlight there were wires to all the bulbs, do you think for a cleaner look it would better to tap into those instead of the harness. I was thinking about wiring it to the blinker so it could have that effect on signaling but at the same time I believe it wouldn’t send as much voltage therefor the halo would not be as bright as it could be with the right amount, but I’ll probably just tap into the drl. I appreciate the feedback

You should try LED HID lights cause they shine brighter than normal HID.

Did you get canbus bulb out earnings with those angel eyes and indicators?
I remember trying LED stuff on a B7 before, and then you get constant error messages on the dash.
That also happened to me as well when I had cheaper led blinkers bulbs. Since I switched to the more expensive alla led blinker bulb I haven’t had that issue yet. Fingers crossed. Yea I can do that for you! Although it’s pretty simple, you just gotta tap into a power wire that will be on while the car is on and a ground wire

Yup they’re the same headlight lol

No I don’t, only because I wired the halo eyes to the drl wires so I could use that switch to turn them on and off
