Thanks for answering me Retrofitlab So up till now i understood that the solenoid or the black and red wires are responsible for making the light switch from low to high beam mode. may I ask what that roll of sealer/tape it was u used to seal the lens back on to the housing... this method is very interesting and may have to attempt this
Ah. So If I understand correctly : the way you hook it up there results in low beam over Xenon, but you make a pass-through with the Hi-beam original light in order to not only activate the Hi-Beam solenoid switch in the Xenon : that way, when you Switch on Hi-beam, both the original Hi-beam Reflector Hallogen lights up AND the Xenon retrofit goes into Hi-Beam position. The result is in Hi-beam, you're really throwing 2 Bulbs (one Xenon, one original Hallogen) into Hi-beam ?
God job !! I have a question. Projectors installed by you is only for UK left-driven cars ? because left-driven cars headlights must have light beam oriented to left for lighten pedestrians on left side of road. A rest of Europe have a right-driven roads

@@KalvisCh Ah yes, in OEM HID headlights, the original projector can be burned on the inside, there is a reflective layer on the inside of the projector that gets damaged by UV and heat, and light output decreases (sometimes drastically) also bulbs can be old and worn. My Friend RetroFitLab needs your help. Please tell me if the Audi A4 B7 can also be fitted with 3.0 inch lenses? Will 3.0 fit? is there enough space there? what is the maximum length from the lens to the end of the thread?
A 3" lens is not by default better than a 2,5" lens. There are some 2,5" projectors that will outperform 3" ones. Mounting a 3" projector can be done, but would be a lot of work because the threaded shaft is usually designed for D2S bulbs and bigger so it can only be fitted to a H4 bulb hole. But when you remove a part of the reflector and use a nut and bolt method to mount it, it is not impossible, but much harder.
So there is an adapter ring for every bulb type? The mini h1 kit offers the adapter type choice upon Order? Or? What's the deal? I will try this on an xterra 2009 with 9007 OEM bulb.. great videos

Retrofitlab thanks sir. This country is not sold in our country (country: Turkey). Would it be a problem to apply black quality cold silicone instead of this product?
If I want to connect high beams only to the projector solenoid (I don't want to use standard halogen high beam bulb anymore - only bixenon) do I need to use bulb error canceller on "high beam->solenoid" wire? This concerns car with canbus.
Headlights are tested/approved as a complete part, combined with the internals (projectors). OEM/original projectors also don't have an e-mark/ ECE approval because they are simply part of the complete headlight that is approved. And making any changes to the internal parts which are not made to replace*, is not allowed (at least not in the EU). That’s why we need to mention it on the product page. So despite the light output and pattern is better than new and more safe, replacing the projector is technically not allowed. Regulations differ between countries and between vehicle types. They also change regularly. Buyer is ultimately responsible for checking and deciding if a part is legal for the intended use by the buyer. *Except for the bulbs / ballast, those parts are 'designed' to be replaceable and do have an E-mark / ECE approval.
Retrofitlab I mean... I bought this 3" H4 projector (because my car's housing is H4). The projector has that "H" adaptor, that in my case is H4. Then, to fit the bulb inside the projector the only one possible would be the H1 bulb, as the projector opening is round independently the H model of it Sorry for my bad english btw 😶
Daniel Campiolo it doesnt matter what is your original housing are... Most custom projectors are using h1, its usually comes in 1 box with the projectors so you can just install it.

Шикарно! 🍓
If I want to connect high beams only to the projector solenoid (I don't want to use standard halogen high beam bulb anymore - only bixenon) do I need to use bulb error canceller on "high beam->solenoid" wire? This concerns car with canbus.
Thank you for answer. I want to save the bixenon look, so no halogen bulb needed for me :) Will do further research on your hid kit offer.
Is there a solution that would be allowed in Europe (Germany to be more specific)?
It looks really awesome and I would love to install it on my A4.
So the bulb itself will always be H1, independently of the "H" you are using for the projector?
Retrofitlab I mean... I bought this 3" H4 projector (because my car's housing is H4). The projector has that "H" adaptor, that in my case is H4. Then, to fit the bulb inside the projector the only one possible would be the H1 bulb, as the projector opening is round independently the H model of it
Sorry for my bad english btw 😶
Daniel Campiolo it doesnt matter what is your original housing are... Most custom projectors are using h1, its usually comes in 1 box with the projectors so you can just install it.
could you do a 2013 Volkswagen passat?
Any tips for beginners?
Hello there. I like your videos. I have an Audi A4 B7 2007 with stock bi Xenon headlights, but my right Hi Beam won't engage. Soon as I turn my HI Beams on right light starts switching between HI and Low beam. Is there any magnetic motor that holds HI beam ON, and is there any way to fix this problem? Thank you!
