I'm so happy to hear one of your sons is going into nursing. We need more male nurses! They're stronger for patient lifts and turns and, in my experience, FAR more kind and compassionate than their female coworkers. (Men aren't in it for the cute scrubs!) How very blessed you are to have such a large family 😊 PS- I can't get over how *beautifully* decorated your home is.
Yes, I'm very excited that this particular son is going into nursing. He is one of my kids who always runs towards a medical emergency and is very compassionate, not to mention he's super strong. Thank you for the compliment on my decorating. Creating a beautiful home is one of my favorite things to do!
What a lovely video and such personal questions. I wouldn't dream of asking a personal question. when my son was born (2nd child) there were only 17 months between my daughter and son and I was asked, actually told on occasion that I shouldn't have any more. In fact, my family were upset when I told them I was pregant. Naturally, he won them all over with his blonde curls and big blue eyes but I've never forgotten how upset I was with them all. Unfortunately after Paul was born, I found that I couldn't have any more children but i'd been blessed with 2 so I was content. I too was a stay at home mum. It was lovely to hear about all your familyand I can't wait for the new arrival. Thank you for sharing Ashley xxx
Thank you, Dee! I'm so sorry that you had to go through the experience of having unsupportive family, I did too when I was younger, and it's heartbreaking.
It is Ashley but look at how well are doing now. You're young enough to be my daughter and I love how you're willing to share your life with us. I feel truly blessed that you share your experiences with us and I'll be forever grateful. xxx
That's terrible! People don't say things like that anymore to me, but when it used to happen, I would just politely point out that they were being rude.
Wow, that is unbelievable. I'm so sorry that this is happened to you. People who do that are total morons and they probably come from a family of morons and nobody every bothered to fix their totally inapropriate and unacceptable behavior. My grandmother had 14 children, no twins, and when I was born the youngest were still at home and I loved being in a big family like that.
Great video! I am sorry you were asked such personal questions and I admire you for answering them even though you certainly did not have to. Congratulations on expecting your sweet baby bubbles! One of my babies nickname is Mr. Bubbles. God bless you and your family. I need to look more into the programs you offer, I don’t think I knew you had them before. 💗🤗
I have always loved and been fascinated by large families. Thank you for all of your answers. I am curious as to whether your girls have the same options for college?
Yes! One of my daughters wants to cater professionally, so I am helping her build her business up, she's not currently interested in college. My oldest daughter excels in academics, and if she wants to go to college we will help her get there!
Congrats! Curious, what does your husband do from home? Husband is discerning a new job… How do you get your teens to babysit with joy? Pay them? Privileges? Tech?
My husband is the IT Director for a totally remote company. We've raised our children with the attitude that we are a family team. Everyone helps out in different ways. Babysitting is a little above and beyond though, so we always bring the teens in charge home a food treat, whatever they want...usually it's ice cream. Occasionally if it's an all day thing, I will pay them and bring them ice cream.
Congratulations on your bundle of joy!!! I have 4 Littles and I agree with the homeschooling being a conviction so not really a choice. We just switched to memoria press and start our first year in the fall for my kindergarten children and jr kindergarten child. Any tips for that age? They will be 5 and 4 when we start.
Oh wow! Good for you!! I would recommend combining the subjects that make sense, to save you some time. For us, that is Christian Studies, some read-alouds, Science, and Art. The first year will probably be the hardest as you get used to everything. Stick it out, and it will get easier. Feel free to ask me for any questions you may have!! Also, I would recommend joining the Memoria Press Homeschool Facebook group, buying the virtual pass for the summer homeschool conference and watching those throughout the year, and listening to the Podcast. Those will keep you inspired to continue on when things are hard.
As a Homeschool Mama myself, I agree that it is a conviction and a lifestyle. Your kids are getting a way better education that’s any private school!
The best education possible is definitely what I'm aiming for!!

I hear you there :-/ People can be awful!
Oh my goodness you are so brave answering these...
I have only 5 kids and I've been asked by strangers in public whether I've been fixed. 😮

Even when I only had ONE, I got those remarks from people 🙄🤬🤬🤬 People need to learn to mind their beeswax!
Loved this! Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for watching!
