Easy macrame hammock

Hi lovely people,
I would like to take you in tow in my process of making a hammock.
I try to do as much as possible myself in order to gain awareness for an entire production process.
This is a very simple design to start with.
Necessities:
12 ropes of minimum 5 meters
2 wooden slats with 6 holes (in which 2 ropes go in at the same time)
2 metal rings
Cardboard (to measure)
Lots of inspiration.

What ki d of rope please? Was it cotton or nylon? Cotton wouldn't be good for outside, due to how it absorbs moistue. People said that nylon is better for outside hammocks.

I dont remember which rope I used, but I do not leave it outside for too long.
