It is my pleasure to bring you the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon 2 Remastering Project, an undertaking of mine dedicated to bringing one of my all-time favorite video game soundtracks to a new life. It is my belief that this music--composed by Arata Iiyoshi, Hideki Sakamoto, Keisuke Ito, Ryoma Nakamura and Ken-ichi Saito--deserves to be listened to and enjoyed by more than just the people who play, or have played, Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time/Darkness/Sky. It is a truly beautiful and widely appreciated collection of music, however with a limited potential due to the confines by which it is bound: a Nintendo DS cartridge. My goal for this project is to bring each track in the game to life by means of remastering, and in some cases reorchestrating, to the best of my ability, while at the same time preserving the natural charm that lies within them.

BROOOO SO GOOD!!!! Honestly alot of remixes on YT kinda just dont have the PMD charm making the originals better than remixes but yours are almost always actual improvements
This is a series that I hold dearly to my heart. Your covers are faithful yet they create a feeling of true revisiting. Hearing your remasters give me the feeling this is how I felt when I first played these games 10 years ago...

Back in the day, we were criminals. Outlaws. My brother and I were two of the most determined thieves you've ever seen.
...That doesn't mean we were all that successful. We were caught a few times which wasn't fun.
There was no one better than us at finding easy marks and getting our rewards, but the problem was we were never any good at covering our tracks.
You know... We weren't very good Pokemon back then. I've done things I'm not proud of, but that's just who I was back then.
Anyway, we were in and out of jail all the time. Ready to start our usual operations back up the moment we were released.
But on our final 'visit' there together, I... met someone. Obviously he was a criminal too. The difference was he wanted to go clean.
That guy taught me that... there was more to life than living on the run. It was during my last time there that I thought... about going clean, too.
We were all eventually released and I went through with it. I went clean. I've tried to get him to do the same, but he ain't interested in the lives the rest of us live. That's... all he knows.
I'm actually still paying for what we did. I'm still under conditional release. Everywhere I go needs to be approved. Even before we left Treasure Town, I had to inform the mugs where I was goin'.
You got no idea how long it took to convince the guild to let me in. Growlithe just kept pesterin' them until they said yes. Of course, the jail had to help out too. They don't exactly let bad guys like me into the guild easily.

Woah! I had no idea this project was still ongoing! I used to listen to this stuff (the remastering project) a lot when I was 13 or so. I can't believe I forgot about it. I'm happy you're still making more, thank you. I have always really liked this song. This version sounds a lot like the original in a very good way, I like it.
I always think the among us music's gonna kick in at the start.

Gosh I love this song so much! It's a shame it's in such a short dungeon. Apparently a bunch of floors had to be removed because of a coding bug.
Yeah, it was apparently supposed to be 16 floors, but due to a glitch only 4 of them are available.

The percussion hits different in a really good way. Sounds much more solid.

Initially after playing through the story, I wasn't the biggest fan of this dungeon's theme, but over time, I grew to really appreciate the dance-like rhythm of this track. It's definitely become one of my favorite of the game! What a fantastic rendition of this track, thank you for revisiting the project!
Edit: Saying I wasn't the biggest fan wasn't the correct wording. I think Barron Valley, Spacial Cliffs, and other tracks in this chapter overshadowed Dark Wasteland during my first playthrough, but going back and playing the chapter several times over brought a much greater appreciation to Dark Wasteland
Honestly, same. Maybe it’s 3/4 or 6/8 time signature threw me off or something. Or something about the instrumentation didn’t click with me. Tgh really made this theme better.🎉

Love this track :D The beat could be harder tho but its good!
So fun fact: I use my car stereo (with a subwoofer) as part of the process to mix my tracks and check the bass levels.
Any louder of a bass drum and it's really overpowering/distracting to those listening with subwoofers! I have to take that into account.
