It is my pleasure to introduce the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon 2 Remastering Project, an undertaking of mine dedicated to bringing one of my all-time favorite video game soundtracks to a new life. It is my belief that this music--composed by Arata Iiyoshi, Hideki Sakamoto, Keisuke Ito, Ryoma Nakamura and Ken-ichi Saito--deserves to be listened to and enjoyed by more than just the people who play, or have played, Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time/Darkness/Sky. It is a truly beautiful and widely appreciated collection of music, however with a limited potential due to the confines by which it is bound: a Nintendo DS cartridge. My goal for this project is to bring each track in the game to life by means of remastering, and in some cases reorchestrating, to the best of my ability, while at the same time preserving the natural charm that lies within them.

This is what you call a timeless game. It came out more than 7 years ago, and people not only still fondly remember it, but are still actively working on it.
All the thumbs up in the world wouldn't be enough to express how much I love what you are doing. Truly great art is timeless, and I'm glad that you're working to preserve it the way it deserves :)

Brings back the old vibes. When I first heard this song I only recognized Mt Thunder and Thunderwave Cave since I lost Pokemon Red mystery Dungeon before I could ever get to Mt Freeze and Sky Tower. Don't worry, I found it though. Just, this theme is one of my favs from PMD2. Good work as always and keep it up. I like the bass btw in Sky Tower and Thunderwave Cave too. ^.^

Wow, I didn´t expect to find a comment of you here... Even if it´s 2 years old now: I agree. Hearing that in the PMD2 games made me happy and feeling nostalgic, because I realised this track also was in PMD1, Mt. Freeze to be accurate ^^.

Mt. Thunder sounds so amazing with the pronounced bass and increased tempo. And Thunderwave Cave sounds more mellow than in the original medley, which makes it feel less jarring IMO. Stellar job on all 4 parts.

Just started my explorers of time game again haha... This is probably the most nostalgic feeling soundtrack since it even was in PMD1 as well. You guys remember? The Mountain you had to claim in order to reach Ninetales so it could tell everyone that you´re NOT the problem in this world... Not gonna lie, I´m a competitive Pokémon main series player and even took part in multiple tournaments and even the VGC multiple times... BUT in my opinion: PMD-Series > Main Series!!! Who´s with me?! :D

I remember stumbling upon this theme while completing the after story missions. I swear I had a panic attack (in a good way) when it hit 0:52! I was like THEY DID NOT JUST DO THAT OHMYGOSH!!!
SuperQuagsire64 Oh my GOD, I had the biggest heart attack when I realised what was playing as well! Then I realised that it was a mashup and I DIED. THE BEST. :D

The sudden change in tempo and the rise in tension is amazing.
Finally got my hands in PMD Red Rescue Team thanks to an emulator. I heard all the four tracks. Though I played PMD2 Explorers of Sky a long time ago, hearing Blizzard Island makes me happy to know I played PMD1. :)

Why do I get a Spyro vibe from 2:51 and onwards? Not complaining though~ This track has always been my favourite in PMD Explores of Time/Darkness/Sky and this remastered version is amazing! I hope you'll remaster more tracks in the future, when you have time of course! Keep up the good work dude!

I remember this theme from so long ago does glad I rebought PMD2 recently after I lost it 8 years ago also see a hint of Red and Blue Rescue team’s soundtrack in this theme sky tower and Mt. Thunder

PokeRemixStudio and I are worlds apart in terms of what we do. You can't make that comparison.

He might have some plugins I don't have, but that's not what I meant. We both use what we have in different ways to do different things.
Well, you also have to consider that PokeRemixStudios' version is more of a re *mix*, while TGH here is re *mastering* them.
if i had the coding skills of a genius i would remake all the PMD games so far (yes even GTI but way better) and i would make them all intertwined together and in order to experience the full game you have to play them in order otherwise you would be missing out on very nice secrets also i would use your remastered music WITH YOUR PERMISSION OF COURSE and it would be in .exe format cuz it means the possibility's are endless but sadly do not have the codeing skills of a genius CURSE MY INFERIOR BRAIN :(

Mt. Freeze is to the southwest of Blizzard Island, connecting the two domains of Articuno.

+Michael Byrne Mt. Freeze was on the northeastern side of a continent right next to a volcano (Mt. Blaze) and just north of the Magma Cavern. Being on Blizzard Island, south of the continent Explorers takes place, makes no sense. Also, in Explorers, Articuno resided on Mt. Avalanche, which WAS on Blizzard Island. And now that Super Mystery Dungeon is out, it confirms that both places exist in separate continents, and nowadays Articuno resides at the top of Blue Point. Yes, I'm fun at parties.
+Nate River Yeah...considering I made this guess a year back, it's safe to say that my opinion has changed since then. I said what I said because of Frosty Forest being next to Freeze.

True, but Blizzard Island isn't just the songs in order. It's a remix. If I'm being honest, I'll probably get to this eventually. I haven't made any Mystery Dungeon arrangements yet, but chances are I will soon enough.

Also I never liked the medley. It should go from Fugitives to Defy the Legends to Mt Blaze to Tiny Woods... Because most songs placed in the actual medley are ones I got sick of hearing.
