Visited Malta several times and these lovely old buses were part of the character of the Island. Not the same without them together with the loss of many of the old British cars, many models of which had almost disappeared from British roads. The new bus services around Malta may be more efficient but so clinical in comparison. The price of progress. Still the beauty of Malta will never change! Lovely Island, lovely people.

All Maltese drivers back then. I think Arriva took over in 2011. All the drivers now are third country nationals from Pakistan, Nepal and Philippines.
