Repainting and adding Lights to the Competitive Shell Ghost from Destiny 2

I picked up one of the 4.5'' vinyl ghost shells when they were on sale, but it really just seemed like it was missing a certain flair. So, I took it apart and rebuilt it with a battery-powered LED, and gave it a paint job to match the competitive shell. This here's the whole(ish) process of taking it apart and building it back up from parts!
Materials used:
1 (one) 4.5'' vinyl Generalist Shell model
A blue LED, some salvaged wiring, an AA Battery holder, and one switch
Black and white acrylic primer, and red acrylic paint
A single plastic shot glass
Lots and lots and lots of masking tape
Oil paints for weathering
Salvaged styrene bits for the stand
Plenty of hot glue

I'm surprised you didn't construct it from scratch instead of cannibalising a model, as your skills are that good you could have easily made it from scratch with plasticard. Looks great in the end though, and that little trick of adding the parchment paper to diffuse the light is something I have never seen before, so it's another idea to add to my "Things I've learned off TH-cam" for my modeling list.

keeping your hand next to that knife the entire time was making me nervous you were going to cut yourself. stay safe, and keep dangerous objects off the workspace unless you're actively using them

So true. This is why I always keep my exacto blades in a lead box in the other room when I'm not using them. Inconvenient for sure but the safety factor is inarguable

I'm currently trying to do this but when trying to remove the stand it broke and now I have the rod stuck in the ghost
