I have three Harleys and I just bought this bike and this thing is a monster. I'm still a Harley-davidson rider but this bike is amazing!!

I own the Rocket 3 GT I've had it for just over 12 months done nearly 9000 KMS, I've owned 5 Harleys including a 2006 VRod plus a Yamaha Roadstar 1600 out of all these bikes the Triumph Rocket 3 GT is superior to all of the other bikes I have ever owned over the years this is the best bike I have ever owned!

@@ocmotorcycle8635 I ride solo now my wife use to always come with me but she has lost the passion for the bike, anyone that rides knows that incredible feeling when the wind is in your face, it is still the best destresser in the world that I know of, your body loses it zest when you haven't ridden for a while!
That’s why we’re all here, because of that feeling. Some people like the wind in their face a little faster & the Rocket 3 GT offers just that!
any issues thus far? what's the maintenance cost of ownership ? tires holding up ? it's a beautiful machine !!! i have a 2005 triumph daytona and it had lots of electrical issues it's a concern as Triumph is know for that what's your take ? thank you
Purchased mine February 2024. I was like many other comments on this bike. When i opened the throttle in 3rd gear I was OMG how did Triumph make this creature. I rode it home and actually parked it in my living room. Not a scratch on it. I want the quickshifter. Don't know why but I do. I'm 67 and owned 32 bikes since 1970 including the clunky Boss Hoss 8.1L. Triumph surpasses everything in quality. I think the price was about $25,000 US. I won $26,500 in Vegas on Christmas Day 2023. Not a penny from my savings for the greatest motorcycle I ever owned. The only thing in this power range I owned was a Hayabusa. The Triumph is about the same acceleration but more smooth and refined. HD isn't in the same Universe as this bike in terms of power cruisers.
I have the same bike and i just love that TORQUE machine its a beast i just installed a quick shifter on it and man the acceleration is out of this world. Ride safe man

They ride great compared to my old R3, which i think is pretty good, but i hate that sport bike rear end. Make the guard extend further back. I also wish Triumph would make a bagger with a frame mounted fairing based on the R3 🇦🇺
front forks does not have preload adjustment, so not fully adjustable. the rear is fully adjustable. They are very comfortable to ride, especially the GT with mid controls.
How is the lean angle on the GT? I'm torn between the R and the GT? But I do want comfort.
Has Curt bought one yet? He's been drooling over it for some time lol

Only negative I'm able to ascertain is the exhaust note.
Is there an aftermarket performance pipe that brings out a decent sound?

I wonder why you can lock the petrol cap, but not the oil and radiator caps, as all caps are visible and easily accessible.
The bike is fun with ample power. In its stock configuration on long journeys I would suffer neck and shoulder discomfort. The handle bar was a bit too far forward for me. At 5'11" these bars would be okay for local or track ventures. The dealer sales rep claims there are alternative bars. I'd need approximately 2" back and 1" up.
The GT model should accommodate the bar position you’re looking for!
@@ocmotorcycle8635 Huh?! I rode the GT, the bars are too far forward. The other Rocket is worse.
@@tommidd8042 Ah yes okay you would likely require a custom bar setup. The Rocket 3 R has lower more aggressive handlebars in comparison to the GT.
@@ocmotorcycle8635 Yes. I need to get the actual bar diameter, clamp spacing, reach and pull back measurements off the stock GT3 bars, then I can determine what I'll need for a handle bar. I only want about 2" back and maybe 1.5" up. I also have to look at how much free play available with cables and hoses with bars turned both hard left and right.
The stock configuration of the rear suspension is terrific, very hard. There's a video by 2 Australians that shows exactly how tofix it. I did it and completely change the comfort of the bike. The only other issue that I had with the bike was the key fob battery: surprisingly you must replace it for an official Triumph battery, otherwise the electronic goes crazy. I have just made a 2500 km four days trip with no problem, the bike is awesome, you can perfectly do medium-long distance rides ( 600-700 km/day). Absolutely happy with my R3GT!!🚀
How good it would be to get a preowned 2016 model? Am getting one for a good bargain
That's the older 2300cc model like i have. Totally different frame, heavier and more
I'd love it with mid controls.
Rocket 3R has (semi) mids. Very much considering to get one instead of my BMW r1250R.
You can change the R3GT to mid controls

I have the gt am 5’8”. Fits completely fine
I just got 2021 Rocket 3 GT from OC Motorcycle and I am 5'5". Fits just perfect.
Just don't like that rear guard look, not extending over the tyre . After owning the older R3 since 2005 , I've ridden the 2020R3R and it was amazing, but there's only the rear look that deters me 🇦🇺
Are you referring to the back seat not extending over the tyre or the lack of a tail tidy?
if the short rear is what stop you from getting this rig obviously you are not really interested ..I rode the "older version 2012 roadster and this 2021 GT is far ,far better. I was willing to put aside all the small things I did not like, but never did I realize the big smile when riding this gentle giant of a bike
@@albertaduke1 I've ridden the new R3R and over 130000klm on two older R3. I just don't like that sport bike looking rear end, the guard needs to extend fully to the rear, then you wouldn't need the tyre hugger thing either, plus it would prevent road grime being thrown up on the back of the bike, like apparently they do
@@ocmotorcycle8635 i am referring to the rear guard not extending to the neck of the tyre. I think a guard somewhat like the old 70's Z900 would make the bike look longer
@@Hipporider I have a full mudguard on mine made by Trik uk. Makes all the difference!
I would classify the bike as a roadster. It's not a cruiser, and definitely not a sport bike.
Roadster seems like a good all encompassing name.
