Purchased mine February 2024. I was like many other comments on this bike. When i opened the throttle in 3rd gear I was OMG how did Triumph make this creature. I rode it home and actually parked it in my living room. Not a scratch on it. I want the quickshifter. Don't know why but I do. I'm 67 and owned 32 bikes since 1970 including the clunky Boss Hoss 8.1L. Triumph surpasses everything in quality. I think the price was about $25,000 US. I won $26,500 in Vegas on Christmas Day 2023. Not a penny from my savings for the greatest motorcycle I ever owned. The only thing in this power range I owned was a Hayabusa. The Triumph is about the same acceleration but more smooth and refined. HD isn't in the same Universe as this bike in terms of power cruisers.

Always had single cylinder bikes and never been interested in twins. Tried some but they always felt heavier, bigger, double the fuel consumption etc.... Until I rode a V7 850. The "presence" of this bike is something else. The presence of that 90° twin engine under your butt. The pulse and especially the sound in idle. I fell in love ever since and I just keep riding this beauty everyday.

Oh, that's right: I now remember how the OEM exhausts sound. Funny enough: we got the same helmet as well, with the difference that I went for the stripped Gringo and goggles. Please note this: cars won't hear the sewing machine sound this bike produces. Loud pipes save lives: I strongly suggest no dB killers from good Agostini slip-ons. They sound glorious and you'll be heard. Sure, some stuck-up folks will roll their eyes looking at you. But they'll hear you. I also strongly suggest a flyscreen to cover the off-centered clauster, which creates an unequal whirlwind that'll make you angry after a 300km ride. The difference on riding comfort is simply night and day. The Dart Flyscreen I got was very easy to set and install. Mark my words, you want it. Finally, get rid of these OEM mirrors. They're simply not good. I had to stop every 500km to screw them back. The OEM bar-end mirrors you'll find on the Special Edition are much better and fit any V7. Get some, they are so worth it. These three mods are must have. Then you can add a remaping if you feel the need to do so. Strap your favourite tail bag on this bad girl and this bike will never, ever, ever disappoint you. I have a W800 and an Himalayan in the garage as well. This V7 is now my go-to bike, without hesitation. Don't pick the easy Triumph choice: Moto Guzzi will give you as much bike for 2000 $ less, which is about 500 $ less mods included. AND...you'll have a driveshaft. Never will you be bothered by a chain anymore.

I am more aware now than before as to what the T100 is like. Its not easy to please everyone when you review bikes I am guessing but I liked the clip a lot.

front forks does not have preload adjustment, so not fully adjustable. the rear is fully adjustable. They are very comfortable to ride, especially the GT with mid controls.

The longitudinal engine is an obvious choice when you're running shaft drive. Your typical transverse mounting only works if using a chain or belt drive.

It is. If I have a choice: RR1200 or you. I would prefer 1200. It would be the same in 10 year time.

The subject of the video is the bike, not the presenter. Stop trying to keep him in frame, and show us the damn bike. More importantly, show us what the hell he's pointing at. Not his face, and half his arm....the bike.

I wonder why you can lock the petrol cap, but not the oil and radiator caps, as all caps are visible and easily accessible.

You are CORRECT sir! The new V7's can double for touring missions with bag(s) and a screen snapped on. It's 5.5 gallon range, new engine, KYB suspension, 4-pot 320mm Brembo, 6 speed gearbox, final drive, massive headlamp beam, seat & rider position make it a stand-out in the genre. Extras that don't get noticed are a beefy fork brace, plug & play 12V electrical connector for the offered USB adapter, passenger pegs that double for alternate rider foot positioning, great fuel economy & easy valve adjusts.

The mirrors are fine, once the brake & clutch levers are positioned correctly, same for the headlamp.

I have one, fantastic bike! And it is a torque monster and the torque curve is almost flat from 3k to 6,500. I have a V Strom 650XT as well and in real world riding the V7 is faster unless I want to ride the Strom from 7 to 10k all day, which I don't. I have done 1,000 mile trips and the V7 is always my day trip bike choice. And maintenance is super easy as well. And don't forget, the engine configuration allows for a huge and low hung gas tank of 5.5 gallons, since there are no cylinder heads in the way. People that look at the HP spec and disregard this bike are making a huge mistake.

How is the lean angle on the GT? I'm torn between the R and the GT? But I do want comfort.

Triumph dropped the ball. No cruse control. My KTM 390 adventure has cruse control available. Come on Triumph.

I’m 6’2” really hope I can fit on this bike or the rear sets can become adjustable. The best bike I’ve ever ridden was an FZ-09 just wanted more power and a more speed and this is exactly that. Hopefully I can get my hands on one soon
