  • Can science and religion meet
I have personally never felt that I had to choose between science and religion. In fact, I think, science gave me a more well-rounded perspective on religion. They were like the parents who nourished my intellect and my soul. In this post I talk about what some of the greatest scientists have said about god.
This is the 9th post of the series “Science and God”

    💚🙏 From Syria
" This life of yours which you are living is not merely a piece of this entire existence , but in a certain sense the whole ; only this whole is not so constituted that it can be surveyed in one single glance ...this , as we know , is what the Brahmins [ wise men or priests in the Vedic tradition ] express in that sacred , mystic formula which is yet really so simple and so clear , this is you or , again , in such words as " I am the east and the west , I am above and below , I am this entire world ."
" The total number of minds in the universe is one . In fact , Consciousness is a singularity phasing within all beings ."
    ~ Erwin Schrodinger ( Nobelist )

Dear sister excellent presentation. We the believers of all religions all together have to challenge the atheistic views logically.

Aurobindo's teachings of both Evolution and Involution comes to mind that may support the Wallace hypothesis of brain following the Involution course, while our other physical body followed the classical Darwinian Evolution.

I think in olden days people had less distractions and more in tune with nature and could intute the presence of God in everything. The faith in their religion helped them in this path of knowing God

I discuss this with few of my acquaintance. What I conclude is that our preconceived notions about religion which inclined us towards science that is to reason for everything happening. No one of us think of purpose of reaching to God which is the ultimate truth. We stuck to religions and religious beliefs which is dragging us more from the truth. The purpose is to understand that both religion and science leads us to that ultimate truth. Then only all these chaos and mess around us will cease to exists. Or else for masses science and religion as only for personal interest.

i think , we all are a combination.. an entanglement of Consciousness.... and matter(intellect, mind n body). Only a pure, subtle, refined mind can feel inclined towards , interested in... the Consciousness -aspect... in us, the soul... and in the Cosmos , God.
So whether a Scientist or Atheist...we all should strive to increase the purity n subtlety of our minds through scientific practices as taught by Great Masters . And that will make us fit to grasp n acknowledge more n more subtler Truths of this Universe... finally leading us to the direct realization of the Supreme Truth , God.
    🙏 OM

बहुत ज्ञानवर्धक।you are really saraswati Devi .pranaam .very enlightening video.
my response for why religion and science sepereted in middle ages because or any n history it is because some dogmatic religious scholar or priest t forced their theology very strictly for political reasons and stop freethinkers and researchers like church chained gallelio and in Islam after golden age Turks ottoman empire follow hardcore wahabi political Islam banning freethinkers.
Thus Europe when democracy came they sepereted religion from political and science field totally .

I think, scientists are religious people. They get their ideas from God directly, which they dont know.

Science is the brain (intellectual) side and religion is the heart (spiritual) side of human beings. However, both are meant for the search of truth in unknown/mysterious things of the life and Universe. Therefore, it is wise to consider both of them complimentary to each other.

I think western scientists will try and find a link between evolution and the need to believe in higher intelligence. On a different note, If you consider many indian yogis -- they are scientists with out the equations. (Kaanada for eg has a atomic theory sufficiently close to modern atomic theory.) If you make the extension to Adi Shankara charya, towards the end of his life became an ardent bhakti advocate. This could be one more of the pointers. Was wondering what is anyway.? if you have some insights into what Bhakti is I am be humbled to hear. Thank you.

I think EGO has played a major role in ripping apart science and religion. Instead of questions and answers, "who is superior" has made paths apart. There is no value for experience in science, it is interested in evidences only... At the same time religion has been limited to rituals without taking in to account the relevance to the time.

Excellent video. Not sure about Islam cherished science. Science survived in-spite of Abrahamic religions.

Science can only discover what is, it cannot claim to know what isn't. Hence a true scientist would never say God doesn't exist from a scientific perspective. If the scientist denies God it is for a reason other than science.

No discussion is required, not a single evidence there is god .
God is a just mental delusion
