Most bearings have been changed now as a preventative measure to upgraded bearings so will become less of a problem in the future, bearing failure occurs on the f10 M5 and m3’s so it’s not only a v10 M5 problem.
In Bulgaria we call 535d a Cosmos, literaly ,cuz it flies into outer space xd

right on 0;33 i figured out that something is wrong.
First of all 520D (163hp) cannot be slower then 520i (170hp). Either driver was bad or there is something wrong with that car. 520i does takes around 9,5sec but 520d takes around 8.5 in good and working condition.
not to mention that 525i on your video seems slower then 520i.. Wtf is this.

I'm looking at buying a 2006 530d touring, any owners out there recommend them? Also what to look out for for example do they suffer from any major mechanical problems? Thanks.

Engine works perfectly, reliable. So does the transmission, but its lifespan is about 200-250tkm so watch out for that. My dad had one for about 10 years. I loved that car but there were a lot of issues with it overall. He had xDrive and once something went wrong with it so he had to pay 3k$ for repair. I dont really remember all the things that went wrong but one year he spent more than 6k on maintenance and parts. So if I were you i would avoid this car if you dont plan to spend that much on maintenance or dont have skilled mechanic who would do it for less money than authorized service.
The car is so good comfortable I have one and I have 385000km on her
