Am I the only one who would be embarrassed to have someone else clean my car I’d have to like pre clean it before he did.
I clean mine all of mine before I have them detailed 😂😂😂 not wipe them down, but get all personal items out, trash (even under seats) empty out all holders (cup, doors, console, glove compartment) completely empty of any evidence of someone owning it 😂 literally all they have to worry about is detailing the interior, so no, u are totally not alone lol

I still can't understand how someone can let their car get to looking this way.. spend a few dollars at a drive thru car wash once in a while.. it takes maybe 5 minutes and you don't even have to get out..

Yeah that was my ex- dirty ass car exterior and interior. Made excuses all the time why he had no time to clean it until his ROOMMATE finally cleaned it for him because he was so fed up with how bad it was.

I love how this dude over here using all these specialized products as to not damage the plastics and stuff and im just here when my car is dirty i spray the interior with simple green and wipe it down.
It is enjoyable to detail cars. It’s super rewarding when you see the final out come.

I'm so curious how you clean the seat belts...that's part of the process you don't usually show
A couple ways that work pretty well are, using some folex spot cleaner on a towel, you can also pull the belt out as far as possible, rest it on the vehicle then close the door and pressure wash it, but you have to be careful the buckle doesn't scratch the paint.
I think he has talked about that on another video. I believe he does APC on a microfiber towel and if it really bad he will bust out the steamer with the scrubber and towel like he does on the headliner.

Also if your seatbelts are slow to retract spray on some furniture/wood polish along the belt, should retract nice and quickly after

Your videos are satisfying on so many levels. Of course, the total transformation is the top. However, each step - and all done in the same order - brings its own satisfaction. It's almost like watching a perfect baseball game, tied neck-and-neck each inning until the very last. The bonus here is - you always win! Thank you for theses the stellar videos.
After (4) of his vids I realized why they're so enjoyable, 80 percent of the vid is an enjoyable cleaning montage for the sake of cleaning entertainment. Any talking is mostly factual, kept to a minimum. Other detail vids are always trying to teach me something, interrupting, saying what's been said 10 times over. DG is easy to listen and watch.

Good for you. I want to deep clean and meticulously detail my friend Jean's Mazda 2 hatchback because of the amount of dead bugs on the front of the car, the oxidized headlights and the dirty rear window. Because Jean is a bit of a speed demon; that would explain the dead bugs.
I wash mine twice a month . It’s a dark grey 2018 Chevy Trax . I hate when it’s covered in bugs during spring-fall or salt during spring/winter . I couldn’t imagine not cleaning a car for YEARS . That’s just insane to me lol

Trust me. My mom and dad live on a gravel road with a gravel driveway. The rain removes maybe 20% max of all the dust. Plus, with numerous tractors and cars driving on them daily for 7-8 months of the year. The roads literally turn into a powder. Then a a goopy sloppy mess during the rain. So again, rain doesn’t really help.

I know a guy who had a large multi-row van that had never been washed or vacuumed out in the 10 years he had it. It was well used, and when he went to sell it decided to have a couple of kids do a detail and wash - $500 and 20 hrs between the 2. He figured it raised what he got selling the van by couple thousand. He took good care of the engine, tires etc - just never cleaned it... which, is kinda weird in my book, but ...

I'm curious to know what has been the easiest vehicle to clean. Not based on how filthy the car was to begin with, but based on the material of the interior. I know you mention the cheap velcro like carpets in some cars and how hard they are to clean. I want to know the easiest interior fabrics you've come across.
I know this week he said he likes the carpet in cars like the Escalade because it's easier to clean. I was actually reminded of him not liking the velcro carpet in the Civic like you mentioned.
The leather seats look easier to clean too.
The carpet in the BMW where easy to clean too.

I have a '10 silver sedan and the paint still looks nearly new, and the interior has held up great. Seats are just starting to show some wear, but that's about it.
