Peele's movies are the only movies I've seen for the director. I've seen every Marvel movie since Iron Man 2008, but if you asked me who directed them, I couldn't tell. His movies are impressive and immersive because he put so much passion into each project, and viewers notice that. Glad you enjoyed Nope because a lot of people didn't enjoy it because they compared it to Us and Get Out.
Honestly that speaks to the quality of his works in the best way possible. He leaves his own mark in these films and puts an effort that you can't but notice. It's funny how opinions can wildly differ though because Nope is my favorite amongst the three lol
I enjoyed Get Out and Us too! For NOPE, I also wondered if it won't live to the other 2, so I kinda lowered my expectations about it. I absolutely loved it though. I personally think it's much stronger than Us as a movie in general (but I still think Us had the most interesting world haha)
I think where Nope stands out is in how self-contained it is. Us was great too but it was way more ambiguous both in structure and themes, but it's still also interesting for the room it gives to our imagination to interpret it!

This movie is overrated and easily forgotten. I watched it when it came out and I haven’t thought of it sense.. same with Us.
