General question for everyone. What are your thoughts. Do you think all countries and airlines will drop the tests if they find no one is travelling. It's a lot of hassle to travel internationally right now. So thanks that for the time being, I can travel overseas vicariously through you and the other trip reporters I watch. Thanks again for the video.
It definitely is, the ground staff told me from time to time they have to deny check in for some customers even if they’re just missing one document
It’s a hassle everywhere and this is not as bad canada
I have no plans to go overseas for a long time mainly due to these hassles.

We have just flown QF81/82 spending a week in Singapore and our experience was very similar; while away the return entry requirements changed and we were kept very well informed by Qantas throughout.
Yeah thankfully it's just 3 day isolation when returning to Australia. Other places like Hong Kong has upgraded Australia/Singapore to high risk, meaning 21 day hotel quarantine rather than 14... I'm glad you made it home :)

I also flew on the same aircraft VH-QPH Sydney to Manila, October 31 2019. After leaving the Philippines a few weeks later I visited Singapore for 4 nights, loved it.

Great video, Jayden! Glad to see you flying internationally again. Thanks for walking through all the extra steps and showing the documents for the travel to Singapore. That is very helpful. It looked like it was a very enjoyable flight. For long haul daytime flights that don't involve large changes in time zones, I prefer to stay awake to keep on schedule. If the flight crosses a lot of time zones, I try to sleep to coordinate with the time at my arrival. I hope you enjoyed your time in Singapore!

Jayden, at long last, an international long haul flight. 👍 I was so excited for you! Great review. Looks like you had a good seat. I wasn't that impressed with the meal service but it was satisfactory at least. Will be looking forward to your upcoming vlogs from Singapore. Hi John! food wise it was ok for me but service was really slow (that I forgot to mention in the video, I put the time stamp for that reason). Not drinks until over an hour after takeoff and food took even longer, making sleeping time shorter. Singapore was fun and I look forward to my next flights😆😆 Thanks John!
That was a really short takeoff, I guess not too many passengers! I’m in Bangkok just now (Phuket last week) and it’s so so quiet, so many places I remember from the past have closed down. I’m looking forward to go back to Singapore one day soon as have a lot of friends there and a few favourite bars waiting for me! Have fun there!

@@JaydenWong about 50% full on Bangkok Airways A320. Nok Air, Thai Smile, Vietjet and Air Asia are all back on the route so around ten flights a day. The 320 was the “Guilin” livery but it was really tatty and dirty inside, not like I remember Bangkok Airways in the past. No inflight service and eating or drinking anything not permitted, they hand out a snack bag as you disembark - chicken green curry pastry, biscuit and water. Really cheap flight though, around £20 GBP one way. BKK airport deserted, almost the entire Thai Airways fleet parked up and paint faded from the sun which looked really sad. Bangkok is so so quiet.

@@JaydenWong thank you so much. I’m planning to enhance my skills in Computer, such as Word and Excel and improving my poor Spanish 😂. I’m also going on vacation in summer. But I don’t dare to travel far away, so it’ll be only within Europe, which is still very nice. By the end of next year I’m going to look for a part time job, maybe at a Front Desk in a Hotel or another company which needs People to accommodate People when it comes to business meetings, Conferences etc. There’s plenty on the Job Market and Flight Attendant’s are always welcome, since they’re very service oriented. I hope your studies and your career isn’t too affected by the pandemic and you’re doing good.

Nice video and perfect timing for me, I fly Melbourne to Singapore in a week. I travelled to both Hong Kong and Singapore already this year during lockdowns and quarantine, so it is nice to see the difference. I am all ready with the paperwork that I need to travel but watching you go through it all makes it seem very easy. Some will say it looks too hard and why bother and I say, let's get out there and fly!
Yay so no quarantine this time! I'm currently in Hong Kong quarantine, 9 days left to go! Once you get to Singapore, you'll appreciate your hard work preparing paperwork!

Thank you Jayden for the flight. The weather was dreadful in Sydney with heavy rain.
When qantas delivered the Airbus a333 in 2003-05, it featured Skybed in business. Never flown Skybed before, but it was a much needed upgrade to the interior in 2014 (IIRC). But the good news is that the Airbus a330 has touch screens and seat control.

What a great SYD-SIN video mate. Thanks for explaining the testing process prior to departure and what the requirements are at Immigration hen arriving into Singapore. I hope you can go through the same details for travellers returning to Australia . I really liked the views of the Dessert at13:56, seeing the edge of Australia at 17:21 where the desert meets the beach and of course the view of downtown Singapore from 21:23 all the way to the east cost and Changi Airport.

@@JaydenWong I was questioned once about some cheese I was carrying to a Malaysian friend who loves Australian cheddar. I assured them it was solid, not liquid and after some hesitation they allowed it. Cream cheese wouldn't have got through.

I also just took a VTL from Melbourne yesterday, most of the passengers were transiting through Singapore towards India/UK, flight was full though.. everything else was smooth barred the delay due to thunderstorms in Melbourne.
My friend caught your return flight I think, Singapore to Melbourne. He told me it was quite full too. Maybe omicron got everyone flying home asap haha

you gotta make your own bed while they stand there instructing you? seems a bit OTT almost like a copout for doing some work. they could put gloves on and do it but its unprecedented times so i guess cant be taking any unprecedented risks.
yeah the crew made it clear he wasn’t allowed to make the bed. It wasn’t hard anyway and it was nice of him to guide me through :)

Singapore's VTL system has been opened for Indonesian's, but the Indonesian quarantine is now around 10-11 days.
Hopefully they lift the restrictions soon! Would love to visit Bali
Finally another international flights again, and yeah....that's a lot of document that you need to bring before flying international, and we literally have to do the PCR twice when flying internationally, which is....fine, cuz it's for every person's safety. They just required us to take the PCR test on international flight, really different with Indonesia, even on domestic flight, you have to take the PCR test (first vaccine only), and also PCR / Rapid Antigen (full vaccinated), so people who haven't got the vaccine can't fly🙄. I miss that international departure area in Sydney😭😭.
When Australian states are reopening to covid, they will require tests for domestic travels too. South Australia (Adelaide) just mandated PCR for all arrivals, international or domestic. Not worth it haha, go overseas bettrr haha

I believe it’s covid, crew seemed to avoid touching the table/seat area at all cost. Like they no longer help with setting up the bed and mattress. Hopefully not permanent!
