Damm I guess I’ll stick to my 4 a mile contract with Boeing till I decide to get my own authority
I would definitely stay there.
Yup that’s a good place to park. I load out of the warehouse right behind you.
It was a good place to stay. Not too busy and pretty quite for the most part.
Making similar numbers as a local owner operator. Bout 350 miles a day five days a week. I had to leave texas. Texas has the most competitive market in the country right now. Never gonna make money there
Thanks for the videos bro! I drove for Schneider a year and recently decided to get my own authority. Looks like its gonna be tough for the first 6 months finding loads
Thank you 🙏. I’m not gonna lie. It’s gonna be tough but not impossible. Just call all possible leads they’ll can always say no you know. Good luck out there.
@@pinoytruckingYou the man brother!
@@truckerdiaries3840 get a dispatcher for the first 6 months. They know all the brokers that work with new authorities
We should get together on a vlog. Godd info 5
We can make that happen…
what do you guys do when there is no load in your area?
Widen your search criteria or deadhead towards a much more load populated area.
Man we have to work way too hard in trucking.
Yeah I agree.
Its BROO SARD lol
Hahaha 😂
I wish my truck got 7.8. I get 5.8 but I have a C15 cat motor. 2008 t660 studio sleeper. I am also a power only guy. Contracts suck load board is way better that and DAT ONE loadboard.
Dang… Nice Engine tho
You wasting about 15k a year in fuel only getting 5.8mpg .
@Ken-harris maybe, but most if not all my loads are maybe 18k lbs. Also, I love my cat engine and would cost too much to put in a dd13 with stupid DEF crap. Plus, my truck is paid for.
@pinoytrucking I agree non of that BS crap on my truck. That DEF crap is killing engines. I do see 6.0 at times. I do drive 75 and if 65 would be better.

You have great points I can understand where you are coming from
Are you working off the loadboard or are you leased to a carrier??
Off Loadboard and Amazon Relay this week but mostly from DAT Loadboard
i see , is it hard to get with amazon relay?? what requirements do you need bud?? company mc/dot million dollar insurance?
1mil Commercial Gen Lia
2mil Aggregate
100K Cargo
50K Non Owned Trl
I heated here lately been a little hard to get on. You need to have clean MC and 6mo authority.
i see , thanks brother i appreciate it
I am an O/ leasing onto a carrier .. in IA . Can you tell me how much would I have to pay more for insurance like cargo etc… if I open my own authority ( just an estimate… thank you
So many variables. Take mine for example. I’ve been driving since 2013 clean mvr. 3 passed inspections the past 3yrs. Paying 18K a yr. I was paying 16K before I shut down last year. I also spoke to someone with dirty MVR and they were paying over 30K. Insurance is crazy…
@@pinoytrucking $18k a year is that included the bobtail insurance or just cargo ?
@@pockerface1991with a clean MVR that includes his DOT INSURANCE AND HIS CARGO AND INTERCHANGE IM SURE. Say if he had a bad MVR I know those numbers can jump to 24,000 to 30,000 year easily. And the stats he based in has something to do with his rates too. Keep that in mind.
@pockerface1991 I pay 1700 per month and my cdl is one year old...it all depends
@@itsmitchnewton7670 is it included bobtail? Thanks
When i got out of the military i worked overseas as a contractor for years. Just got into trucking last year 🫡
Dang you got $$$ bro. Buy some trucks start a fleet bro. Hahaha
