I love that they caught the tiny smile in the opening credits that Carolyn Jones gave on the 3d model. Just the smallest detail, but it fits so well.
I love that motricia is in the center, making her the kind of leader who calls the shots. Gomez loves her so much
Thats what stay at home mothers do. Morticia is in charge of the house, and she does a wonderfully horrifying job.

I grew up on the 1964 version. The nostalgia is immeasurable
The design and the animation are PERFECT like the comics. Unfortunately, I can't say the same about the plot of the animated movie,in particular how Morticia talk to Wednesday,them two... Morticia would never say to her daughter that she can't be what she wants.

I feel like the live action was more lively. The animation felt stiff. Not badly animated, just not as energetic.
I like the accuracy! I’m glad they gave a small tribute to the 64 version, it’s one of my favorite shows!

The fact that they went so far as to recreate the actions with the animated figures shows some great work and serious dedication. I only know them from cultural osmosis, so seeing this for the first time was a treat. XD

Fun fact. John astin is Sean Astins father. Sean Astin does not only play bob from stranger things, but plays Sam wise in lord of the rings.
They honestly killed it with the animation. The over exaggeration adds to the charm so much and the facial expressions are on point

I remember I used to stay awake after 12am even on school days just to watch that show (the original one). The tv channel put it only after 12 because it was already an old show (I watched it in the 2000s) and they assumed only adults would be watching it. I love that show. They can make lots of remakes but none compare to the original.

Technically in the original show, it was both hands for different camera angles.
One detail the 2019 version got wrong, the original 1964 "Thing" was a right hand, not a left. By the angle of both "Thing" cut scenes, 1964 version shows a right hand while 2019 shows a left. Little details always bring a bigger picture.

Love what the 2019 did. They showed more pinks and red tones because the older version filmed the show with a pink set because it looked better in black and white.

Considering the Netflix show is actually legitimately good and well acted and well written and Jenna Ortega excels as Wednesday and is about on par with Christina Ricci’s Wednesday, you really might want to rethink your comment that seems to be making fun of the show.

say what you want about the movie, gotta admire how they really wanted the animation to stick to the classic comics and this massive bonus that was recreating the opening.
By far the only redeeming quality of this movie
It's crazy to think John Astin is the last remaining member of the original cast, I personally loved the 1964 sitcom, when John rests the original cast of the family will Aswell, rest in peace to them all
I grew up with the old version. Such nice memories❤
