    Andrew Tate is the reason I even entered this whole space. He woke me up, I had to better myself, I was going to die. I follow him because what he did for ME. Also, I think a lot of his stuff just makes sense. ie: objective truth. Of course he pushes the envelope for fun, I do the same in real life, I just don't have millions watching my every move.

    Absolutely spot on, Critical thinking of the whole populace is getting close to zero, with no independent thoughts or ability to remove all the biases just because they disagreed on some viewpoints. If I had to teach my kids one thing is to only chase the objective TRUTH, that is all that matters, I do not even care if it hurts, this the only way we were able to get here as a society and is the only way we can move forward.

    The problem with asking someone why they dislike a person for example is that they don't take mental notes in the moment their opinion is being formed. Opinion is formed based on general personal sentiment towards a person not an actual reason that you can verbalize. The verbalized reasoning is only formed after the person is questioned and has to face the question. If you don't ask the question, the person would simply utilize heuristics (subliminal sentiments) to make decisions, because actually coming up with an answer is cognitively demanding and our brains are made to save energy not spend it.
    For example while a person is watching someone's videos they hear something that make them feel that person is abrasive. They might end the video feeling like "ugh, this man bad"
    And then they stumble upon another video but now they have set expectations/biases where they listen trough a "dislike channel" and are more likely to judge harshly.
    But the point is that at the end they watched 20 min. of some person's content and they don't know exactly why they hate him/her, it's a collection of all those moments when that individual caused them to feel negative feelings towards them, their opinions and so forth...
    And interesting thing about brains is that brain can make up reasons regardless of the real reason and that is a fact, we have caught it in the act. (Read about split brain experiments and get ready to get depressed and fascinated). Here's one video on the split brain experiments: th-cam.com/video/ZMLzP1VCANo/w-d-xo.html
    In one experiment I remember reading that they asked one "split brain patient" to leave the room (wrote it down on a paper or something, I honestly don't know) and then they asked him where is he going and he said something like "I'm cold I'm going to get my coat." I honestly don't remember the instance correctly but I think it was something like that.
    My conclusion was that brain will make up a reason on the spot even though it's not the "real" reason, the guy in the video talks about it at the end (our theory).
    I love when you discuss Psychology Charlie, keep it up!
    I was working on using AI's to help with writing so that's why this is a long comment.

  • @editin232
    @editin232 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    This is basically Halo Effect in psychology.
    The halo effect is a cognitive bias in which our perception of one aspect of a person influences our opinion or judgment of other dimensions of that person. For example, if we have a positive image of someone in our minds, we may be more likely to overlook ("Not that big of a deal.") any negative actions they take than if the same actions were taken by someone we consider "bad.", where we are more likely to for example, passionately and publicly hate them trying to get others to hate them so that they validate our hateful feelings but that is a story for another day...
    This can lead to an inaccurate assessment of an individual's overall character.
    Good to mention that this phenomenon doesn't only affect our ability to accurately judge a person but also products, brands, institutions...

    I used to "hate" Andrew Tate, but the closer I listened to his statements and the more I watched of his interviews, the more statements of him appeared reasonable to me. There are still a lot of opinions of him, which I hardly disagree with, but there are also a lot of I highly agree with.
    Objective thinking is important, but since the majority isn't capable of it, it's hard living in a society with subjective thinkers.

  • @faydsocialclub
    @faydsocialclub ปีที่แล้ว +2

    It’s clear many people commenting haven’t watched the whole video.
    I might add, as beneficial as understanding your beliefs are and as important as it is to be able to see past all the smoke and understand someone’s core beliefs, people are still responsible for how that message is delivered and the “shrapnel” that is created by poor or lazy messaging. And they should be held to account for that. Just because someone has some good ideas it doesn’t then let them off the hook for the heinous things they do/say elsewhere and it should be societies responsibility to hold them to account. Ergo, Hitler.
    You can take the good ideas from all places of humanity. But it is then wise to not then put individuals on a pedestal that brought those ideas to you. There’s too many kool aid drinking fanboys in this particular scenario that makes it dangerous.

What I don't like about this video is your general neutrality towards seemingly any opinion. It is likely that you did this to eliminate emotional bias from people watching this video, but it is in my opinion, weak, to sacrifice your honor (in the form of having and expressing strong beliefs), and status (as you said) to appeal to a wider audience.
