I water them once a week. If it's cold throughout the week I go about two weeks. I use bamboo skewers. Just stick one in the pot and after a week pull it out and if they're still moisture at the bottom of the skewer I don't water that day. I water until the bamboo skewer is mostly dry if not completely dry
