Klon Showdown: Budget vs. Boutique. NUX Horseman NOD-1. A Klon Clone for only £55! This fantastic sounding NUX mini pedal is now the only drive pedal on my board. As it's a Klon clone it blends in the clean signal so you have the driven sound along with the clarity of the clean signal.
We shot the NUX Horseman out against the Wampler Tumnus. NUX Horseman vs Wampler Tumnus was an incredibly tight comparison. The Wampler Tumnus sounded marginally better using more driven tones but the NUX Horseman sounded marginally better using cleaner tones. Either way there was enough of a difference between the NUX Horseman and the Wampler Tumnus to justify me selling the NUX Horseman in favour of the Wampler Tumnus.

The wampler had marginally more articulation to my ears…but not enough difference to matter for me. Both great sounding pedals

If you hold the foot switch down it will give you the silver klon too which I prefer

Yep…your guitar needs to have six stringed to be well strung and a Centaur with five legs is considered well hung. Think about it and play your guitar…’cause there’s a song somewhere in there.
