    I've done some more miles on the Tiger today and have discovered some slightly annoying flaws that are worth knowing about. It's a vibey beast. Full review up next week hopefully!

      Had a test on GT Pro from KC Superbikes in Carlisle, to be honest I didn’t feel the vibes at any point. Mirrors do blur but my current 12 alpine’s do also. Wouldn’t put me off buying one.

      My 2017 speed triple can be very tingly at 80 mph and above. Maybe it’s triples in general? I was going to get a T7 but I’m moving 4 hours away from my hometown. I’ll be visiting a couple times per year, I’ll need something more highway worthy. So far, it’s a battle between Tiger 1200 rally explorer, GS and KTM Super Adventure R. I need something comfy for 2 up, and off-road friendly.

    Great video and great new flagship bike from Triumph. As the present owner of a 2016 Explorer XRT, which I love, I would be really challenged with the seat height. I do hope that Triumph will bring out a lower seat height road model. I don’t find mine to be too heavy, but at 72 I will need to get something lighter in the future. I would consider the 900 if it were a shaft drive, but I want to ride and not do maintenance on a chain. All the best from Wisconsin.

    Love the sound, sounds more like a Twin than the normal crank triumphs which sound more like in line 4's, interesting!

    This bike really interests me. I'm 6ft 3 and looking for something that tours better than my MT10 but still excites.
    As my pockets are not that deep and I have no need for the the exotic electronic suspension I thought the base model is for me but no, only available in white and no you've got to have the electronic suspension (fine while in warranty) but I like to keep my bikes.
    Still got a test ride booked

    CAUTIONARY NOTE A great bike and huge step forward for Triumph in their quest to de-throne the GS. However there will be many nearly new examples available when the GS 1300 appears shortly. 👑

      Yeah it’ll be interesting to see how much more honed the GS can get!

      Although I'd take this new Tiger 1200 over the current 1250GS, I have a feeling that if I bought it now, one year later I'd test ride the 1300GS just out of curiosity and in minutes start feeling my heart sink as I realize I should have waited.

    • @benwells2338
      @benwells2338 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@vicomtedelomagne for real. I really don’t have too many wishlist items for the 1300, but for how much you end up paying out the door for a GS with the usual packages and options, having that clunky quickshifter seems like such a stain on an otherwise fantastic machine.

    Would love to see a review between the 2022 KTM 1290 Super Adventure S and the 2023 Triumph Tiger. That's where I'm right now. I'm a KTM guy but I also have a 2019 Triumph 1200 Tiger that I plan on trading for the new 1200 Tiger or the new KTM 1290 Super Adventure S. Waiting for both to show up at dealers in my area.

    I still have the Mk1 Triumph Explorer 1200 (2012), and it has been the absolute best of motorcycles to date. 70K KMS of which 37K+ KMS has been around Ireland alone. Up and down some pretty difficult, testing, trying roads for some wild camping etc., plus good highway riding. My opinion (mine only), is that just like BMW drivers, you have the same ilk of BMW adventure riders……entitled!!!! I cannot wait for the new 2022 Tiger 1200…… main reasons why I selected the Triumph over a BMW? Comfort, reliability (electronics), frugal fuel, maintenance costs (have done most of the maintenance myself), triple sound (exhaust), and overall not acting like a BMW prat owner. Top heavy? It has never bothered me. - I’m 6’4”, 110kgs, riding mostly with pillion, and camping gear……could not ask for a better bike…….roll on the 2022 explorer !!!!!!!

    you say that the bike does not wheelie, have you tried to remove the traction control?

      I did remove it and that fixed the problem. But I quite like having traction control… and you have to stop to turn it off!
