Die Samen der sibirischen Zirbelkiefer gelten als uraltes Heilmittel der einheimischen Volksmedizin. Gesund, cholesterinsenkend und schmackhaft, werden sie inzwischen maschinell verarbeitet und in die ganze Welt verschickt. Zuerst müssen sie jedoch in den weiten Wäldern des Altai-Gebirges geerntet werden. Und das ist immer noch mühevolle Handarbeit. Ganze Familien ziehen im Herbst in die Berge zur Zedernussernte. Und erarbeiten sich damit einen Verdienst, der für mehrere Monate zum Überleben reicht.

in the Rocky Mountains of Montana a related high elevation pine species , the white bark pine has a similar position to and likely valuable role in our ecosystem and is one of the most important foods in the autumn for our Grizzly bear...and are delicious....but endangered....this was an amazing video....I live in a high valley about 1500m and its early february its currently minus 27C and by Thursday supposed to be minus 35c these are the temperatures required during winter to keep the insects that damage the trees under control they are increasingly less frequent and these very long lived species are fading and retreating upwards to altitudes that are their last redoubt...in sensitive ecosystems overwhelmed by changes they struggle to adapt to having evolved in more stable environs its tragic....I love your content
