Usually when I would do stuff like take apart the whole environement of the site....it ends up being something simple and unrelated to anything I was trying. But you....my god...you uncovered every rock and it was one of the rocks! That's something!
Yes, my first bastard awesome evil cache really opened my eyes, too! Every time I see the name Gwyn as a cache creator here in New Zealand I know I'm in for a search. :)
Reminds me of one I found it was a fake outlet BEHIND THE BAR! !! The only clue it gave was "hope your powered up ". I had to ask the bar tender if I could charge my phone. She resolved this outlet doesn't work. I told her I am a electrician ( really a Carpenter ;D ) could I look at it? She said the boss will be in any minute so I waited. A hour of pool later they walk in... She goes and asks them and they look at me and smile. ...I knew I found it right then.
Its not evil but the most difficult geocache to find and you sir found it. The most evil is that if someone placed the geocache on areas that could endanger or risk your life.
Every once and awhile I stumble across one of these amazing videos made by such a wonderful person. God bless. It makes me think about how precious life is. This geocache vlog is A+
I have found quite a few of this type but what you showed me is by far the best that I have personally ever seen. The camo could not be better and is all real. The circular-shaped incision in to the surface of the rock is flawless! It would have taken me a lot longer than one hour to find. Probably 10 visits and every one a DNF before the possible eureka moment!!! Congratulations!
@@BobRossCat his wife cheated on him with another guy and I'm pretty sure she filed for divorce and took his kids, he couldn't take the pain and ended his life RIP
We found one yesterday that was very similar. It was a fake rock sitting in a pile of rocks on a larger pile of rocks. Oh, and just have to add...the same hiders attached a logbook to a rubber snake at another cache. I about crapped myself. lol
Really great. I had one where the logsheet was rolled up on a toothpick. It was then put into a TINY hole in a fencepost right on the bottom were you could only see grass. The end of the toothpick was camouflaged with a piece of the wood used for the fence. Oh and it was really close to a lot of houses. It was a difficulty 3 I think but definetely deserved a 5!
After you've found a hundred ammo cans covered with leaves at the base of trees or in stumps, you'll either be bored to tears and quit the game, or you'll live for evil hides. Scratch one more kitten.
I am not sure I found have found that at all. Do you feature other geocaching finds by others? If I find some here in Austin and sent them to you would that be cool?
That is such a nice cache! Yeah, it'll be frustrating, but once you find it .. Such a reward (and relief you don't have to DNF it, haha)! Definitely a difficulty 5/5 there.
It is a shame someone wasn't videoing you as you looked under each of the rocks. I am just imagining viewing the video sped up and you looking oh so puzzled and moving quickly from rock to rock. (maybe even in B and W with piano music) :-)
I Geocached in middle school. (I am in 8th grade) I was the only one in the class to REALLY enjoy it! I was the first one done with everything, That was my favorite day of the school year so far. Would you guys recommend that I should try and geocache?
I don't know if i could have found that without a hint. Damn. Reminds me of one I found that was a nano rock (pebble) in a pebble rock wall. (not a large boulder rock wall but concrete lattice slabs with pebbles filling in each bay)
Im trying to get used to the dnf of mine. You are right, one hour wasted of your life. It seems. Then again, when I dont find a cache, plenty near my job, and go back to work, I find my ability to understand the work, and what there is to find in the smallest things at work, is increased. So no, geocaching is an exercise of the mind, even if you do feel like a child sometimes out there.
I found one with a box chained to a tree that only said this is not the cache, it ended up being inside one of the chain links that screwed together. I felt so outsmarted.
you spent an hour looking for a little piece of paper to sign. While everyone that drives by and see's you looking under rocks thinks your nuts.. congrats. gotta love geocaching.
Do people ever steal or damage those caches? I'm getting a new phone tomorrow and I'm going to start doing it as soon as I can. Seems pretty interesting. Pretty cool trick with the rock. Thanks for the video
Do you ever get so annoyed by something you're just determined now. There have been a few geocaches that pissed me off so much I could not for the life of me let it alone. Like a mosquito bite ya keep picking at it and picking at it. I finally found the damn thing and I'll tell ya, those are the most satisfying finds EVER

Damn, hats down to you. How were you able to find it?! :D
Wow! I've never seen one like that, been close, saw a tree stump cut and shaped like a chair and you turn in over there was a film tube with the log, that was rough, I spent an hour pondering it sitting on the chair shaped stump, but this one is the most epic thing I've seen
it wasn't an hour of your life wasted, or you could say you wasted hundreds, or thousands of hours geocaching in general. That was an amazing hiding spot!
I've done one that I would call a difficulty Satan cache. I've only found two out of the twenty 'satan' difficultys but let me tell you how hard one of those caches were... It was in a tree but not just in one, but I had to climb the sucker and find a pile of locked fishing tackle boxes. Now keep in mind that I have... Well atleast decent lockpicking skills...so it took me about 5 hours to pick all of the boxes open to finally find the goddamn log book and a five dollar bill. Only 2 people signed the book and found the cache. I contacted the hider of the cache and all they responsed to me was just and evil face and the words "congratulations! Now try my other caches, you have to luck with them"
I have seen worse, theres one close to my house in a park, at a dog run park, the inside of a log has been carved out with a chainsaw, and a micro cache was put inside, the log is partially impressed into the ground so it was hard to move and you would never expect it there
not the most, in florida someone made a screw, hollowed and cut it in half, and put it inside a stop sign. even if you find it, you will probably not know what it is.
Man, that really is a five star geocache. More like a five out of one star geocache! Ha ha ha awesome video keep looking for those five star geocaches so much fun watching ha ha ha ha ha!
I don’t know if I’d call that the most evil. We got a Geocache needing two, 15 foot poles, two cell phones using FaceTime, and a lot of duck tape. Not many people have gotten that one and there’s still one that hasn’t been found in 3 years! FTF anyone?
if it was only one hour it wasn't that difficult. try a toothpick size container in thecwoods. it took over 12 manholes to find it and only then because it rained.

Gah.
No way I would have found that; my patience runs out in about fifteen minutes, not an hour.
Great eye/persistence, sir.
r.i.p sven, you where an amazing geocacher and inspired me to geocache. thoughts to the family
What is geocahce
Oh no! I didn’t realise he had passed away ☹️
Me too. I obsessively watched all his videos so I had tue advantage of starting with more experienced eyes already.
At that point you think to yourself, what am i doing?

wow. you got to admire the work that went into that one...
It's been a few years, but found my first one since about 2009. Lots of fun and I filmed it.

That really is the most evil geocache
I know that geocaches are meant to hide, but what is the time average to spend on one ?
I really hope the title of this was 'No stone left unturned'

XD I seriously laughed so hard at this. They guy who is sitting at his computer watching videos, is saying that this guy is wasting his life.
I haven't found anything that evil, but I did visit one cache 13 times before I found it. About that size as well. Evil buggers!

Where was this cache? What was the name of it?
Whoa. Got no 5 / 5 caches. But did spend an afternoon in 2007 on a pretty darn hard one which was found. Cool post.
this is frigging brilliant
Wow. There's a line between "difficult to find" and "purposefully impossibly hard to find". And that... is just pure evil.
That was an awesome find, great keeping at it.
