- We were cleared for a midfield crossing including a 360 above the tower (01:47) at EDDM. Arriving over the Airport and circeling around the tower and the Terminal 1 construction site, watching a Lufthansa A350 from Seoul crossing the highway bridge. Departing south to HOTEL1 and heading West passing Munich's soccer stadium ALLIANZ Arena (08:00), Schleissheim Castle (09:10) and Schleissheim Airfield (EDNX), to the Rowing Regatta Course of the Munich Olympic Games 1972 at. Then heading to Augsburg (EDMA) for landing.
Pilot: Markus Riedel
As usual, thanks for the ride. Its always nice to hang out with my man Wolfgang.
Cheers from Atlanta, Georgia-U.S.A.
Hi Ronald! Appreciate your comment! Regards from Munich - and stay healthy ;-)
While the DA-62 is an awesome airplane and your video was fun to watch, I am struggling with the need and being allowed to, circle over a large international airport. Not sure that would be allowed here in the states. Flyovers are allowed if traffic isn’t too hectic but not sure about a circling site seeing loop. Thanks for taking us along!
You are right of course concerning your skepticism about circling above the tower. The Covid caused reduction of air traffic might be the reason for the tower's generous approval for a 360 ;-)
@@wolfgangkarner Some pretty good promo shots , did they contact you for a copy of the video?
@@michaelhoffmann2891 nooooooo :-((( ;-)
@@wolfgangkarner Deees iss a skandaaal, heeeearst!! 😉
hes lucky he wasnt in icing due to his Stall HT FAIL warning message. How long has he has that message for? Looks like a pretty bumpy ride. 62 doesnt usually give you those bumps unless its pretty choppy out there. Nice flying! Good content! keep it coming.
Hi Ali, nice to hear from you again! It was pretty warm that day and we didn't go high anyway - just a little training-session ... I actually don't remember how to get rid of this STL HT FAIL warning - I'll check ... but as you noticed it wasn't important for this flight ;-)
Camera person has a movement disorder?
What a statement! Have you ever tried to hold a camera steady during a turbulent flight? Look at the horizon and you should see that the plane is shaking, not the camera.
