Not only to preserve our environment, but above all to reduce or stop the torture suffered by billions of individuals of other animal species, I think that we all should drastically reduce our consumption of meat from other animals, perhaps becoming vegetarians. Thanks so much for uploading this video.
I'm already a vegetarian, so it's a simple question for me! Since I've changed my diet to a plant-based, I feel really healthier. It's incredible! I encourage you guys to try it!!
I´ve been Vegan for almost 2 years, and I did it for many reasons and it has been my best decision so far (btw my migraines has gone). Note: Being Vegan, Vegetarian, etc, it's not a diet is a Lifestyle :)
I'm happy to learn this lesson with subtitles that make me understand and know how to read words I haven't heard without seeing the words. Thank you all.
Since I became vegetarian two tears ago, I have changed completely. I'm full of energy all the time, unless when I do so much exercise. I do not wear glasses anymore. So It was a brilliant decision. Also, I hope you guys can change this habit and have a healthy diet not only for animals, but for you.
I am vegetarian since age 15, now for about 35 years. but I am using glasses to read. It's amazing you could not were glass. any how wish you good luck and tell me the secrete to get rid of glasses. thanks
Hi Neil and Catherine I am Winston you're going to teach good topic I am vegetarian many opportunity are to get flexitarian such as to serve environment and healthy...
Yes, flexitarianism is becoming increasingly popular here in the UK! We have tried it and it feels like a healthy and sustainable way to reduce our meat intake. 🤗
Good video for learning English as well i got knowledge about diet. I am vegetarian but I know meat is good source of protein which we can't get in that much amount from veg deit so we should have both veg n nonveg food to meet our body need.
I'm not sure if I'd be able to go without food for long time. I'm not a meat lover, but I'm used to eating it every day so it would be really hard for me to adapt to this diet.
In case people eat less and less meat, please make sure that domesticated animals do not reproduce. If they still did, humans and domesticated animals would have a really serious battle for food.
When I was a kid in Hong Kong, celery was a luxury food item that was available only during Chinese New year because my family simply could not afford any imported vegetables from the States several decades ago.
I like eating meat, but I don't want that the poultry is cruelly killed. The lions eat meat, but we think the behavior is normal. So, I think eating meat is reasonable.
I really enjoy eat meat; but, what about chicken? Dr. Springmann talks about red meat (beef, pork and...lamb), but he doesn't speak about chiken at all. Thanks for the video !
I don't think that i can be a vegetarian person. Maybe in another kife. Vegetarian people often think that coming at animals for food is not good at all. Meats are everywhere. When people eat out on the restaurant there's a menu consists of meats. I don't think that we shoukd cut down on the meats to have a healthy diet. Healthy diet is about the meats too i think. Thanks BBC😉
I am an vegetarian after watching many videos about animals like pig ,dog ,cat ,cow ,fox....and their relationship with people .They show that they have feeling ,they know what is scare ,how to be frightening ,how to Love ....they almostly like human .I see them as the children who are invulnerable ,defendless .Everytime I eat meat ,I see a pig crying ,a cow crying ... We have a meal and we poop everyday....so no need to make others suffer for our mouths .I have many difficulties when change the diet ,I must cook by myself and change all the favourite foods ,but I feel peace inside .If we just notice a bit about the animals ,we see the only difference is they can't talk ,mamal give milk to young one ,they know how to take care of their children ...(sorry for my bad English )
No I wouldn't. It's up to the big corporations and the 1% to make sacrifices in order to save the planet. I belong to the working class and I won't further compromise my way of life while the rich keep doing whatever they want.

what does the word "off for" in the last sentence "I'm off for a plate of delicious vegetables" mean? I've looked it up in the dictionary but I'm not sure though
I agree with this content! eating red meat only once a week is healthier for us and it's better for the environment in term of climate change, so decide to change a little bit our habits it's worth it! we should be all "flexitarian"
Anny Penny, Good for you. I am vegetarian, too. It was the best decision for your health. Now, we can avoid illness and also going to hospital because its our nature as human.
Hi unknown man! If you are 'off to do something' it means you are just about to go and do that action, so 'I'm off for a plate of delicious pasta' means I'm going home to cook myself some or maybe I'm going to a post Italian restaurant. Hope that helps!
Technically, you are right! Botanists consider sweet peppers to be a fruit, while chefs and most other people tend to regard them as a vegetable. But, yes, you are right as the fruit is the bit which contains the seeds and a pepper's seeds are contained inside. 🙂
Big big lie about meat being bad, either for health or environment. It‘s grain and vegetable oils that is really bad. And though veggies are not bad per se, but not coming close to red meat in terms of vitamins, especially the organ meats.

Nick Halden I am so excited to hear that! I really have doubts that you could stop using optical glasses because of being vegetarian! 😃😳

what does the word "off for" in the last sentence "I'm off for a plate of delicious vegetables" mean? I've looked it up in the dictionary but I'm not sure though
It means that "I have an appetite" to eat a plate of delicious vegetables used in the context of craving the vegetables.

Hi
i think eating meat is more delicious than eating vegetable
It seems everyone has a different opinion on this subject.
Why there is nothing showing on the screen ? You suppose to write the word you are you are talking on the screen .
What does it mean by ..."Im off for a plate of delicious x".plz help me
Hi unknown man! If you are 'off to do something' it means you are just about to go and do that action, so 'I'm off for a plate of delicious pasta' means I'm going home to cook myself some or maybe I'm going to a post Italian restaurant. Hope that helps!
Peppers comes under vegetables, not fruits.
Technically, you are right! Botanists consider sweet peppers to be a fruit, while chefs and most other people tend to regard them as a vegetable.
But, yes, you are right as the fruit is the bit which contains the seeds and a pepper's seeds are contained inside.

i'm always a vegetarian but my parents aren't:/
He said /voʊˈkæb.jə.lər.i/ instead of /vəˈkæb.jə.lər.i/

What does mean I'm off for a plate of delicious vegetables?
'I'm off' is an informal way of saying 'I am now leaving'. Here it means 'I am going now to eat a plate of delicious vegetables'.
@@bbclearningenglish Thank you for the answer!
