When I first saw this anime I was like I'll give it a try but dropped it after one episode. After months or so, I gave it a second chance and I'm glad I did. You did a well job with this video, it's a really good analysis of the show and isekais as well. Rudy right now in the anime is awful as a human but just as you said he is a wonderful character. You deserve more views!!

man, what a perfect analysis. If you've ever been through an event similar to what Rudeus went through, you can see how perfect the character construction is, lose everything and just wait for death... (that's what women do haha). mushoku is simply wonderful, as is your video, thank you very much.

You must've read its LN as well and yeah it like after reading it you won't be able to read other LN's or the same genre unless its Overlord. I won't say it doesn't have its own problems but it handles them very comfortably.

Yeah I am reading the LN currently at 23rd volume. I have actually watched the 1st season of Overlord, but I did not like at all... I don´t know why, I just didnt like any character, they are all just not interesting like NPCs (which they litteraly are), also the "story", if you could call it that, almost didn´t seem like it was even connected. It felt to me like 3 different stories. I also usually dont even really like isekai, mainly because of the amount of it and just how every new isekai is a clone to the ones before.

Ok ya’ll need to watch Twelve Kingdoms. And Escaflowne (film or show both are solid). Those are peak isekai (and I know they’re both old but I’m a Zoomer and they’re still the best imo)

Frieren is just a fantasy xD like most other isekai. And I am glad it is JUST a fantasy because it is better that way. Also Tensura, I cant comment on, I haven´t seen it, Re:zero, from what I have seen, I liked Mushoku more, and Konosuba is a perfect comedy, but just a mediocre isekai. But ofc, just my personal preference.

It could be. Haven’t seen as much from re:zero as I did from Mushoku. But from What I have seen so far from both. In my opp Mushoku is better. But I have only watched the first and half of the second season
.... how is the best? he is a 40 years that act like a baby in every single way.... i can understand he went through hard time during his original life but there are many times and places where he acts extremely immature and emotionally weak.
Well because he is immature and emotionaly weak… like a normal person. If he was always perfect, unfazed by any emotional moment he would be just like every other isekai protagonist. Both these points make him way more realistic than any other isekai MCs who just feel like Anime characters and not like humans.
And even If he is like that, the point was that this show always remembers that it is an Isekai… it is isekai for a reason and the fact that it is an isekai affects the way Rudeus acts and changes over the course of the story.
It is his weakness that he is emotionally weak, but that allows the author to change Rudeus and make him feel real. Unlike other isekai when even If something similar happens, the characters barely change, because the author never uses the opportunity he creates for himself.
W video although MT isn't the best Isekai. That's Re:Zero. Mushoku Tensei is easily top 5 material though. I'd say Mushoku Tensei can be top 5 anime of all time too, not just Isekais. You should look more into Re:Zero btw, it's really good. The original source material is a lot better than the anime but the anime is also a masterpiece in it's own right so you should look into it :)
I have seen I think two seasons of re:zero and I did like it. But soon it became anoying to Watch him return again and again. So I haven’t finished it yet. But yeah re:zero is really good as well.
@adm2462 Ah, once you finish Re:Zero, look into a in-depth analysis on it because there's a lot of things that go over a lot of viewer's heads when watching the show. I've read both the books and watched the anime and read ahead the story through the books. It's really peak. Trust man
