Be careful mate, once he's been fed, he'll be back. Terry.

Thanks Terry. I've put some defences up now. Hopefully they will stop him.

Did you see the video I did on the Heron. I got some video clips from TH-cam and did a video with them showing just what a Heron can do: th-cam.com/video/mw-qh3h4eZk/w-d-xo.html Take care, Terry.

We have regular fly overs by herons en route to the river North Tyne nearby. Pond is permanently netted, even though I hate having it, it is a necessity if you want to keep your fish.

Hi Claire. Thanks for liking and subscribing. I bought the bulk head fitting for the air from Toolstation (but you can get them from B&Q, Screwfix etc.). It is a " J G Speedfit tank connector 15mm" and costs £3.88. I cannot remember the hole i drilled for it but on the J G Guest site it says a 29mm hole. Drill a 29mm hole in a piece of scrap and see if that's ok before you drill the acrylic tube. After cutting the hole I then heated the plastic around the hole til it went a bit soft. Then quickly fit the tank connector before it cools. This is because the tube is curved and the tank connector may leak if that area isn't flattened down. Good luck and if you have any further questions don't hesitste to ask.

@@claireansell4531 Hot air if you've got one. You can also use a hair dryer on max heat.

Buggers.. They are the ultimate fish hunters.. I have been lucky for the last few years.. They fly over but don't land.. Not much room for them to land and walk in.. Plus my dog is around..

Hi Amanda. That's good news however you can never be sure if a heron might come back. Always on your guard.
