The takeaway is that they are pushing for a 1.0 release within 2 years to align with a Squadron 42 release. I kept seeing "another 10 years," and I'm unsure. They are about to drop static server meshing and Pyro this year. Also, they are embracing procedural generation with planets. Three more systems, some ground-based buildings, and the main mission + side missions = 1.0. So here are my predictions. You heard it here first. Nyx/small bases and habs testing Q2 2025 (4.1) Castra, Ground habs/industrial base testing/dynamic server meshing testing Q4 2025 (4.2) Terra/Crafting buildings/Underground instances, including underground distribution centers testing Q2 2026 (4.3) Sq42 release/SC Main mission and side mission testing Q3 2026 Star Citizen (1.0) Q4 2026 Space stations and Pioneer (1.1 and beyond).
If someone has a logical, fact based argument, I can listen to it even if I don't agree with it. But so many backers just rage bc of change alone. Like saying the Corsair got nerfed bc of the Starlancer or being upset at the Pioneer rework.
Berks at the part where you wish they said something about the secondary fire, he was playing it on Legatos so its the hardest difficulty. Maybe that's why there is no directions.
The player space station does make me wonder if they will go back to all the normal stations in 1.0 or after and completely rework them to remove the magic elevators and make it all traversable
Another cargo ship with a stupid middle pathway. It has 2 decks with lifts in the front and back between the cargo and vehicle holds. Use the lifts and top level to transvers the ship and add more cargo to the "cargo" ship. Access is there, so why restrict a cargo hold for a pathway?
12 to 18 Months for the Base building and Monster hunting ONLY guys. NOT Everything they showed in this presentaion so stop running around spreading misinformation online people. I am already seeing people saying CIG and CR promised everything they showed here as out in 12 to 18 months.
I'm so confused why you thought the SQ42 prologue needs to be perfect when it's 14 to 26 months away of updates and polish etc. If it was perfect surely you'd expect a release maybe in 3-6 months? The bugs seen like crashes, expected till polish. Things like character bugging out bug that could happen in multiple places as it's a hand off with intractable from player to NPC be it a gun or anything else. Lighting artifacts are because Ray traced global illumination is still being worked on. The oxygen refilling is because the room system was broken which is just part of ship setup. The face change is Npc character swap and most likely not all key frames updated. Will be picked up during polish. The vanduul through wall during canned animation is cause its QuickTime event and collision will be off. These are all general game bug issues. Nothing critical since it has had no polish phase to date. To polish up that one mission and the bugs is polishing the game in total. That is why there is 14 to 26 months left of polish to do. What you are suggesting is not how development works at all. There is a clear misunderstanding in how polish for dev works.
They need to limit shard sizes to make PvP stuff meaningful…. LTI …..plebs are perms needed have to go and buy new ships every time What is pay to win …how will the monetize blueprints and base building and super important tier improvements for things not in 1.0 they also need to fully define on spectrum No sq42 assists in pu what a waste of resources How long are they going to stop development for 1.0 because they have to take a pause 1.0 needs to be on the main website clearly defined by the end of the year with clear docs on professions
They said you can have your own small planet generators, but those can be turned off by enemies with boots on the ground. The big shields that you fight over give you a week of not being raidable.
They laid out a plan for 1.0, and what to expect. Now we know their intention, which is a win. It's just a matter of: how many years will it take for them to make this a reality?
So you want to go back when they have no idea what they're doing, no plan to share whatsoever, now they have finally laid down their goal, actually achievable goals and you're still bitching
Failed Promises Broken Dreams. This software never ever works. LIVE servers super degraded during citcon, flying modes that removed all excitedness from navigating the universe in a spaceship, physics NON existent, NPC AI dead, AI dead, worlds empty....jfc...
Way too much focus on huge/large org content or group pvp activities. Have they seen who the whales of SC are? 40+ yrs old, not enough time or skill to pull any of that off. Talk about missing your audience.
Thats just not true at all lol. The game was always pitched to fit content like this. Also, the majority of people are looking for these things because people have created orgs with nothing to do with them other than jumptown. If anything people ask for this stuff more
What has being 40+ got to do with it. Most my Org is older than that and it's all the stuff they have wanted to be in since game was pitched. So confused.
They mentioned the Science guild in regards to exploration.
Day 2 starts at 1:00:56
Some missed the Warranty vs Insurance. You still need insurance to claim the warrantee. LTI is still a thing

The real question is will the Apollo make it in before next Citcon.
beacons are both player and npc.

So you must in an org to have shields in null sec

We are back into the "This is what we "want" to make" presentation with hours of basic power points, no content ready.
They laid out a plan for 1.0, and what to expect. Now we know their intention, which is a win. It's just a matter of: how many years will it take for them to make this a reality?
@@12349370I bet their internal is to get as much as possible by sq42 release to get more backers.
