@@F1fletch Dude stock is just fine, car is pretty and that engine is at its max really. Invest maybe in tires, interior, some gadgets and such. Maybe one thing I wished for it is to be maybe smaller cause it feels too tall for its lenght.

No they weren't, because they weren't racing and were cruising around slowly. Any one of those BMW's would smoke the Hyundai easily. Some are over 1 minute per lap faster.

To be on the safe side, I've taken the car in for service every 3,000 trouble-free miles. The only "modification" I've made (if you could call it that) was to swap out the OEM Pirelli P Zero tires for a set of the more durable Pirelli P Zero "Elect" version. Road hazards took out two of the original gum erasers before I'd even put 5,000 miles on the car: The "Elect" tires are much more durable and have improved the ride, handling and performance of the car significantly. Speaking of tires, my only complaint about the Kona N is that Hyundai cheaps out and only supplies a so-called "tire mobility kit" instead of an actual spare tire. I shuddered to think if I'd been in the middle of nowhere when I picked up those two tire-killing road hazards. I decided a spare tire was a must, searched online, and found a spare wheel-and-tire package expressly made for the Kona N by Modern Spare. modernspare.com/product/2021-2023-hyundai-kona-n-spare-tire-kit/ The tire is mounted on a wheel that's made to fit over the Kona N's oversized brakes, but is "shallow" enough to rest in the wheel well under rear floor. Voila!

My Mom has one. It is surprisingly snappy and hatchback-y feeling! Also way more planted than you would expect from a pseudo crossover. Fun little car she is!
It's really just a tall hatch. Considering they didn't lower it at all over stock, it's only 5 inches taller than my elantra and most of that is just greenhouse. Both the folks on either side of me in my parking garage have Kona's and they are surprisingly small by comparison.

Not bad I have a 2020 AWD Stinger.Power is very good from this.I do not know if you have driven a stinger but I just top speeded mine and where you were doing about 125 or so the Stinger probably would have been around mid 140s and probably would have caught that pack in front at the beginning.I also have cross drilled and vented Geomet rotors all the way around to go with the brembos and a str8 exhaust welded to the undecarriage of the car no mufflers.

I have a three year old standard Kona I’m not surprised they developed it to the N because the cornering balance and adhesion of the base Kona is impressive on its 225 section tyres. We’ll driven by the way!
There’s speculation that the hp number on the Ns are wheel hp number. People have dyno’d a few Elantra N they have made close to their hp rating to the wheels
They are definitely sandbagging the actual numbers, but as an owner I can say that 320-330 would be the sweet spot. 30-100 this car rips, beyond that you'll be rocking back and forth wishing for a little more.
This thing is ROLLING. I was teetering between the Sonata N-Line and a Kona N but seeing this is wild. Makes me sad the red one my dealer got in sold almost immediately
Is this stock? Simply amazing! Did you use NGS at any point? Curious if N mode has the Ring in its database for tracks. Curious if navigation based track mode would help in the Ring. I have seen other vids filmed in Korea that has the track and it as GPS enabled to show the location off the car on the track.
@@DrivingCars Holy cow! With NGS, you could defiantly put more pressure to that M cars. Nonetheless, I can definitely see why Biermann intentionally did not go with AWD. The weight of AWD would have ruined the track performance.

I have one of these. The bouncy is super true. The "soft" setting is stiff and the "n" mode is teeth chattering haha

What I really like about the Kona N is that even though it’s a Crossover, it actually falls under the Hot Hatch family.
That’s a lot of blue and white rondals on the ‘ring. Nice that the slightly high ride height on the kona doesn’t increase instability too much
