Leave it is such an easy command to teach and it is so universal. I have taught every foster leave it an it works for dogs, kids, cats, excitement, if they are eating something they shouldnt or sniffin poop a lil too long, Leave it could save alot of trouble.
my doberman is stubborn he keeps going even when he has stopped a few times.... he just can't get enough, maybe i just have to do it a few hundred times he is still a bit young, will be 1 year soon
any tips for fear periods in dogs? my pup is just about a year (even though i suspect he’s younger) and he’s been VERY cautious and fearful of people since we’ve got him. to my knowledge he was properly socialized and if he had faced any abuse he would’ve been less than two months old. he warms up quickly, especially to guests in the house, but is incredibly wary on walks when people approach him. he tucks his tail, raises his hackles, and will try to run away when someone walks up to him. i’m assuming this is just a fear period as he is at the age for those. we’re trying to socialize him the best we can now, and we often bring him to events with lots of people. any recommendations?
Such a smart pup learning the Leave It command so quickly.

Friendly dog. Just needs some limit setting…. Responded quickly once he was shown what was expected of him.
Very friendly dog. Ridgebacks like rough play. Probably the Shephard is too weak😅
@ Dogs like that need strong, confident, consistent leadership. The dogs aren’t the problem here.
I'm liking that leash.
Ridgebacks - smart, strong, and sensitive.
Beautiful Ridgeback.

Well..considering this dog is bred to hunt LIONS without one ounce of fear should say a lot
This just doesn't work with my lab. Tried a gentle leader and slip lead

My understanding is that you just take it at the dog's pace
