We saw G3 in Detroit at the Filmore. Satriani is good, Phil was a little over matched but Petrucci was a GOD! The three of them seemed to love playing together. It was a great night.
That was great. Just have to see the three guys smiling to see they are enjoying themselves doing what they love. I couldn't see a hint of any egos . Great vocalist as well just needed the voice brought forward a bit in the mix.
please mr satriani get us the great micheal romeo and also the amazing kikou loureiro :(, they were both huge influences to me and i just recently got the romeo bug bite again and i cant help but realize what an amazing out of this world player he is, he definetely deserves a place in your g3 shows or alike, and loureiro, come on men, is the amazing loureiro, probably the best latin player atm

45 years after, the Made in Japan version is absolutely unbeatable. In fact, any live version by the legendary Deep Purple MkII in those days. Three guitar gods together and they can't even come close to the tone, control, feeling, power and tension of Ritchie Blackmore.

All I see is 3 respected, extremely successful, veteran guitar/hard rock lovers thoroughly enjoying & indulging themselves playing the music that drove & inspired them enuff to pick up their guitars & learn to rock people's balls off! (as well as their own!) Show some refreshing change of class bro, & don't turn this into ANOTHER cliche, tiresome pissing contest about who's the better player/band or has or hasn't the fucking right 2 cover another bands song/performance, please?
