Easiest DIY job for saving money on car maintenance. As others have noted, the air flow arrow on the filter should be pointing down towards the car floor ;-) Also, if it is helpful, the filter cover has slots on the inside (facing the filter) that help keep it aligned with the filter. With the filter mostly inserted, I take the cover and slide it onto the filter, then gently push on the cover to insert the filter the rest of the way. This makes it super easy to get the cover back in place and will also prevent crushing the filter.
You have to slide that white button over, the one the tab on the string is connected to. It lengthens the string so you can put the clip back in before you snap the box back into place. I can’t believe you didn’t show that since it’s kind of important.
Buy filters at Walmart. They're made by wix the same company that makes them for Napa. But you'll pay $2.97 vs 10 bucks. Napa as big as they are can't match the buying power of Walmart.
Good video. One question as I go to perform the cabin air filter change in my 2011 Town & Country... It seems like the installer inserted the new cabin air filter upside down (pleat on the top instead of on the bottom) as compared to the dirty cabin air filter which was removed. Does it matter which way the cabin air filter is installed?
Thank you so much. First car at age 48 after living in a large city my whole life. You saved me money and built confidence.

I think the arrow on the filter goes down
It for sure does lol
thank you for the humor, and information.
as others have noted, you put in upside down. The rib is on bottom, air flows downwards. I know this 100% is correct.
Very helpful. Thank you
you installed it upside down
Brother what kind of amsoil oil exactly is that do you have part no.? Is it ok to use 5w 30?
