    As an amateur with woodworker, i typically feel overpowered with the entire arrangement th-cam.com/users/postUgkxrYREG3-7f1Aqk9ams3ZESRNzGnfdUtyQ . Be that as it may, this arrangements drove me through with much clarity and effortlessness woodplans. Works i now work like a genius. That is great!

    Nice work. Definitely a good idea to batch out projects. If you can do a bunch of cutting boards at the same time you'll have to change tool heads less often saving you time. And coasters become much more valuable after you've set it up to make 50 or 100 at once depending on how much bed space your cnc has.

    Having run/programmed cnc machines for 18+ years I really liked this video, although you run several passes on some of your cuts which could easily be done on one pass and save abit of time.... dont know if that matters to you but in a high pace manufacturing prospective every pass counts.... great video tho....👍👍👍

    • @TwoMooseDesign
      @TwoMooseDesign  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks! I appreciate the feedback. I totally agree on the multiple passes. I Run a Free software so it doesn't allow me to edit much of the code. Its really annoying especially on v carving. I plan to upgrade to vectric software eventually....

    Definitely make the jump to vectrix. It was well worth my investment, and it makes vbit inlays SOOOO easy. Like to the point you will do your first one within 15 minutes of getting the software.
    What finish(es) do yal use on the regular. I am constantly switching between finishes for no apparent reason, so why not switch again lol.

    • @TwoMooseDesign
      @TwoMooseDesign  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I actually have it now! Currently learning v carve pro. And for finishes I use general finishes high performance poly for most things then for small stuff I use walrus oil furniture finish or cutting board oil 😁👊🏼

    • @zombieno1
      @zombieno1 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@pedrodheming2044 they didn't pay for it. It was given to them to help promote the company Onefinity and test it out. $2219 with shipping and taxes for the machine. Another $175 for some accessories. $100 for the router and then whatever bits you buy. Buy or build a dedicated table for it. Waste board. I'd guess $2,800 total gets you good to go. Budget $3k

      @pedrodheming2044 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@zombieno1 thank you for your fast response. I’m going to start saving money since I’m a disabled person. But is a very good investment. How ever you look at it. Thank you a lot. Much blessings

    • @zombieno1
      @zombieno1 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@pedrodheming2044 I actually bought it during the presale. I haven't had time to set it up yet but I'm extremely impressed with it AND customer service is amazing. The design is very simple and easy to assemble. I chose it because of the rigidity and no belts. It's definitely a good choice for a first machine. I plan on learning and making enough money with this to afford a much larger one for business. But I can't see ever getting rid of this even after upgrading.

    • @TwoMooseDesign

      Masking tape and super glue. Think of it like double sided tape

    When you put the pieces of wood together, do you use dowels or just glue? What kind?

    • @TwoMooseDesign
      @TwoMooseDesign  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Just glue. I use titebond products 😁 dowels or biscuits simply align the boards flush so there is less sanding later but not needed

    X carves seem super popular in North America. Is there a 4th axis option for them??

    • @TwoMooseDesign
      @TwoMooseDesign  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don’t believe so. Maybe you could make one work form a different company? I don’t think they offer one directly from x carve. There’s not much Z height so I doubt it

    I was wondering 2 things what soft ware do you use for designing and toolpaths.? Second what sort of tool path do you create for that 3/4" straight bit . Would you share that toolpath, does it include ramping in?
    This question has to do with the cutting board
    Jeff Peters

    • @TwoMooseDesign
      @TwoMooseDesign  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      We run easel since we came from an x carve. I’ll upgrade to vectric and eventually! I’m not sure what you mean what sort of tool path. I run it as a end mill typically a roughing pass at around 100ipm and between .15-.2 for cut depth. As for the the cutting board I make them to order so the files are random. I’ll just select the shape I like then offset the same shape to make a juice groove nothing special.
